ALL casinos have a "day" that is defined in advance with the IRS and the Gaming Board.

The "Day" rarely ends at midnight, indeed I don't know any casino that ends their day at midnight. Its too busy a time for them. They often start the day at 3:00am or 4:00am.

Tax collections, slot receipts and data, overtime rates for employees are usually based on the official 'day' since its easier for a casino to send accountants around at 4:00am than at midnight when the joint is hopping.

That said, casinos often have various compensation calculation programs and promotional programs that use the term 'day' and do not mean 4:00am to 4:00am. So a loss rebate can be a day that ends at midnight or a day that ends in 24 hours from some card issuance. A coupon good on your birthday would not have the same meaning as a day for IRS purposes.

Any doubts? Ask.

Most casinos these days won't tell you.

The main concern seems to be people trying to avoid CTR and SAR or other documentation required when cashing in large amounts. The word escapes me, think it's "structuring".

But it's still useful information for us lower-level bettors. If you're trying to protect your ADT (or theoretical level of play), you don't want it spilling into another calculation day when you're playing. (Unless you're going to be playing big that subsequent day, too)

A big hint in most places is, watch the tables for when they collect the dealer tip boxes. That's going to be closely related to the hour they start / finish their gaming day.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

By ask,, I meant for promos such as losses in a day or something. They don't want to disclose much about financial days.

All drop boxes are collected at agreed upon times plus or minus no more than two minutes or the casino starts getting some angry phone calls. The boxes go into marked containers showing Pit Table and Shift in big bold letters visible to all involved, particularly the cameras.

During any such operations or during fills, I stand quietly with my hands at my side. Its an abundance of caution but I just don't want to be seen or heard during critical moments.

Yeah Tunica Roadhouse gave me this run around once when I asked. I didn't even play a table that day.

The answer I eventually verified myself for CET Tunica is 4am.

No help for The D, but according to sevenstarsinsider.com, most CET properties have their gaming day begin and end at 6AM. The exceptions are listed here.

Tunica Roadhouse is wrong. It's 4am like Horseshoe Tunica now. It used to be 5. Sadly that matters a bit to me. I'd rather it be 5...haha

I'm told The D gaming day cycles at 3am.

Tbh, for any "post midnight" time that's when I would quit myself. When I stayed at Gold Coast they used 3 am as well.
