I am going to make a Discord bot to play craps with a friend. Anybody want to be a tester?

I've never seen such a lack of interest before. Including I never started on this as it seems that people are too busy arguing over fallacies and counterfactual thinking to enjoy a game.

Just saw this. Been AFK for a few days. Joined long after the initial post. I could test your Discord bot, but let me tell you why I would be a less-than-ideal choice.

I just don't have the math anymore to help you debug the innards. My last probability and stats class was 42 years ago. I haven't used P&S for a long time now. So, if the dice results were off, I wouldn't be able to tell, beyond a 'feel', and that would be too vague to help you.

Analogy: I write hard SF novels. I need people to 'test' my works after I write them. Experience has taught me that most reader input is useless for a 'Alpha' read on a good draft. Because during Alpha testing (which I think you're asking for), the structure of the product should be the focus. For you: the math behind the bot. Oh, I could easily test payouts, for instance, but I'd never know if the dice results are 'close enough' to probability. Alpha testing a novel requires someone who can discern structure, plot, timing, continuity, and character development. Most readers only understand these topics at the subliminal level. So I get feedback like "It's good." Which doesn't help me at all.

I fear I'd give you the same feedback, instead of the real meat and bones kind of feedback you really need.

Now, when you're at the beta level, where you know the bot is on solid ground, but you just need usability testing, let me know. I'm on Discord and I'd be happy to beta test it.

Paying $5 to $15/month in order to masturbate one's cellphone and view a Discord bot trying to run some craps
gaming simulator is not likely to garner much interest among the older demographic here. (I'd venture that most
here prefer the live or visual vices freely available.)

On the other hand, if you really are planning a craps Discord bot, it would be interesting to hear about your reasons
for developing it and why you think young'ns are going to want to mas...play with it. Is it more of a social game than
a craps game? You provide so little info.

If it sparks interest in playing the live casino version, it would be a fine app IMO.

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah, we'll see how far I get, but it's nice to have some responses.
