Greetings all, Im trying to find a happy medium for earning comps while staying within my means. I know that place bets get a higher rating than come bets, but Im wondering what would be the difference in comps between method (1) $5 pass with 3-4-5x odds and 3 $5 come bets with 3-4-5x odds compared to method (2) $25 pass line w/no odds and 3 $25 come bets with no odds. I'm running some Win Craps simulations and so far method (2) seems to have more money bet over two hour sessions (120 rolls per hour) then method (1). I like to play at the Ceasers properties when Im in Vegas so if any one knows what they would do would be great.

I understand that one should not play for comps, but whats wrong in finding that happy medium that allows for entertainment and free stuff?

Any and all replies welcome.

Method #2 would by far get you more in ratings than method #1 at MOST places. The problem with your plan is that most Caesars casinos do rate odds bets. Before you jump up and down in celebration, they adjust your theo loss accordingly (so it doesn't benefit you comps wise).. The only comps you'll get will be future free room offers. Your rewards credits earned from CET won't be enough to buy coffee and a muffin for breakfast. For that reason, I'd probably play the smartest strategy (odds bets) and hope for a really good run that gives you a lot of time at the tables.

Agreed with previous poster. Caesar's comp philosophy at table games stink. You won't get diddly from Caesar's (on your current stay) from playing table games unless your play garners so much attention to get you on an exceptions list where the pit will give out discretionary comps. However, if you want to come back for cheap, your play will get you enough attention to where they will send you email flyers and regular flyers to get you back for cheap.

If you want comps for playing table games, method 2 is much better at an MGM, Wynn or Sands property.

Thanks for the replies... Next time Im in Vegas I'll try #2 at both MGM and Ceasers prop to see the difference.
