I know these questions get asked a lot but the answers change fast.... Anyway anyone recently play at the caesars, mirage, or equivalent and know what the daytime and evening limits are like?

Depends also on weekend or week day.

I would say $10 min during slow periods (week day, morning), $15 during busy times and $25 during peak times.

I believe you can get $5 at Mirage during off peak times. Caesars you will find only $10 + and probably closer to $15.

Thanks for the info. $10 is what I am looking for, $15 I can tolerate. $25 makes for very restricted play.

You should be able to find $10 tables at almost all Caesars' Strip properties in the evenings with the exception of Caesars Palace. When I was there for G2E, the lowest limits were $5 and $10 at Harrah's, Bally, and Flamingo depending on time of evening. I don't know if they're in the habit of going to $15 on weekends yet.

For the locals crowd: are there any casinos which go to $25 minimums (on the lowest-min table) at any time? I know there are casinos with multiple games running that will do a few $10s and then a $25 for the higher players, but are there any that spread strictly $25?

Well at 3PM on Friday at Caesars, they had 4 $10 tables running, all about 80% full (I.e. you could join any if you wanted). Everyone was betting the minumum, and some (about half) playing single odds. No come bets, and only a few place bets. Pretty tight play for vegas crowd!

BJ was $25 Min (not counting that 6:5 CARNY GAME)

When I was last out in LV a bit over a year ago, Aria, Monte Carlo, and Bellagio all had $10 mins during the day. However, if you're in the area of Mirage/Caesars, Casino Royale is right across the Strip and always has a $5 (sometimes $3) game with 20X or 100X odds. It's not the Mirage/Caesars atmosphere, but the games are right near the entrance, so it could definitely be worth a look if the other guys are too expensive.

We were out earlier this month on a Wed-Sat trip (Tue was downtown)...

Casino Royale had $3 minimums during the week but went to $5 on Friday or so for the weekend...

Treasure Island had $10 minimums at all times (Wed-Sat)

We walked through Luxor, Excalibur, and New York New York...all had $10 tables during the day on Friday

At Paris, the tables were $15 on Friday evening

At Bally's, the tables were $10 during the day on Friday

My impression was that you'll have a little trouble finding a $5 table on the strip (except at the Casino Royale's and Bill's of the world) but that some may be available. $10 was the prevailing minimum based on our unscientific and somewhat tipsy observations.

Sounds like what I saw. The only difference I saw was TI had $5 mins in the early morning (~9am or so). Then again, I've seen $10 blackjack tables at Encore/Wynn at 5am, so who knows how low it goes at those hours...
