Craps Don't Pass question

Crap Friends,
I'm playing the Dark Side starting out with $20 on the Don't Pass. The Come Out point rolled is 6. Next I put $20 on the Don't
Come and the number rolled is 10--my D/C $20 moves to the 10.

The third roll is a 6, unfortunately, and I lose my $20 D/P bet along with any lay bet I've placed. So all I have on the table now is the $20 D/C bet.

My question is: Must I make another Don't Pass bet, or can I skip the D/P bet and just make another Don't Come bet, followed by another D/C bet, if I choose ?

No, you would not be required to make a don't pass bet. However, you wouldn't be able to make a don't come bet on the come out roll. You'll need to wait until a point is establised before making a DC bet.

Ummm... What Jmar wrote is correct if you are not the shooter, and you did not say. As the shooter, you would have to have a bet on the Pass or DP line before the next come-out roll.
