I am a dark sider
I always play the Don't unless I am shooting, then I play the pass

Was at the downtown Freemont.
Decided to play craps.
Played the dark side. just a 5 dollar bet.
Up and down playing the dark side. By the time I got the dice , was up a bit so the entire table was down a bit
I change my bet to the pass
Its a crowded table and my bet is the only bet on the table.
So weird, crowded table and just 1 bet.
Everybody is backing off on betting till the dark sider is finished even though I switched my bet to pass
After a few rolls, I hit my point.
Some are starting to bet.
I hit another point. and people around the table are getting excited
I am still hot, been rolling over 30 times. Players are putting down bets for the hot shooter (me)
Player next to me puts down 10 bucks giving me odds
Another player throws some singles down saying hard 5 and hard 6 for the shooter
Another player throws down some chips to make sure the shooter is covered on all hard numbers
wow, was I having fun.
Hit a hard 6, see all these chips coming my way :-)
I was finally done after 46 rolls. had a blast with so many betting for me.
Won about a 100 dollars with people placing bets for the shooter (me)
I had no idea, a hot light side shooter can make money from people putting down bets for a hot shooter.
Next time I play, I may be a light sider hoping for a hot roll as a shooter

Just a newbie here, but I think that's called variance..;-)
Play dark, then light.....
Get it right, then you rich.
Get it wrong, well there's always tomorrow.
At least until there isn't, but then you prolly want care....
Youuuuuu MIGHT be a 'rascal' if.......(nevermind ;-)...2F

I'm a low-stakes player, to the point that the advantage in playing the Don'ts is negligible.

To me, a lot of the attraction of craps is the social aspect, and it doesn't get better than when betting with a hot roll.

Yes, there is nothing like riding / surfing a hot roll, winning bets steadily as it occurs.

Hot rolls are few and far between: savor them.
