I am trying to find a good real simulator for the Mac. I have tried half a dozen and they all seem to be inaccurate in one way or another. For instance I can not find any that will let me take "No Action" on my Don't bets. None of them seem to roll really random. Some of them make me place a bet before they will roll the dice (so if I want to roll the dice for the come out roll, then bet on on DC, I can not). There has got to be one out there that will give me a "real" experience. If anyone knows then please let me know.

I use "My Craps Game" for the Mac. http://mycrapsgame.com/ It's easy to use, but has a few quirks, like saying a come bet can be made before the come-out, instead of after point established. I also question its RNG, but dice are finicky, anyway, so I have no real way of knowing. It's quite sophisticated for only about $12. There's a dearth of good craps simulators for the Mac.

WinCraps, one of the best, I read, is available only for Windows machines, as are so many others. One could run Windows OS on an Intel Mac, but the cost of buying the OS, installing it, etc., is not worth the trouble.

I have the My Craps. The quirks are too many to make it enjoyable. The one you mentioned. You have to manually drag chips around which is laborious. Not being able to do the "No Action". Etc. Surely there is a real gaming experience for the Mac.

Re: Dragging around, have you looked over & read re: the buttons on the lower left? It has buttons for PL, Place, Max. Odds, for example. I play the Come quite often & when there is a Come point w/o odds before a Come-Out roll, there is a button that automatically appears re: Come Odds. These buttons shoot the bet to the spot. You do have to configure them to what you want by Control-clicking on a button. There's also an Options screen accessible thru the MCG Preferences menu. You may have already tried these, & you probably have different requirements than I do.

I'd like to try 2 or 3 others, but like you, the selections are minimal & the only ones worth trying seem to be collections of casino games, including craps. I'd like an app dedicated only to craps. If in your searches you find & try something you like, let me know. BTW. some time ago, I emailed to WinCraps if a Mac version is possible & they basically answered, "No way."

Too much time to convert a Windows program to be a Mac program.
I would do if but I would charge at least $100 for the program for my time involved.
Many would then not buy it at that price.
I do not think many would buy it so a big waste of effort to make a few happy.

On Craig's List and at local computer shops
I can get a nice used, clean, WindowsXP machine (desk or laptop)
for under $50 and pay WinCraps $14.95 for the new Pro1.0 version.
Problem solved for the Mac user
a win/win it looks to me
winsome johnny (not Win some johnny)
