Wow, every table was in action and every table was crowded. Most were $25 minimum but there were a couple $10 tables, and during the evening Saturday one table was reserved for a high roller who eventually showed up.

My play report: miserable. I did hit four numbers on the fire bet once ($10 bet paid $250) and I was the hero of the moment. But those moments don't last too long and over all another losing trip at the craps tables.

When I got the dice and hit those four different numbers on the fire bet, I had just paid back my marker and I had exactly $85 profit. So, $25 on the passline, no horn high ace-deuce on the comeout (rare for me not to do that with $25 on the passline). First number was 9, so I placed the 6 and 8 for $30 each. First roll was an 8, and I took $30 from the payoff for odds on the point of 9. Second roll was the 9.

the fourth point I hit was the 5 and by this time I had $800 in my rail, more than $200 across the numbers, and was playing with double odds. And that was starting my hand with only $85.

After hitting the 5, the next come out was a 5 again. I rolled a couple of numbers and then the seven out. Damnt. Its been about four years since I hit 5 numbers on the fire bet.

Overall played craps for about 4 hours, finishing with a net loss at the craps tables. I hate craps. But I keep trying. And dreaming.

I feel your pain Alan. In reflection, was there a "walk away" moment when you could have colored up your tidy profit? If so, what kept you from doing so?

Why do you ever put money on the fire bet... you know it is a sucker bet.

Its less of a sucker bet when it hits. ;) Rob Singer says to try and find good bets, but don't worry about that too much. Just try to get lucky. And he is a proffessional gambler!

I cant believe you lost this weekend buddy. I was at Caesars this weekend and the tables were toasty! I hit a 6 point fire bet with 10 on it. I shot 9 passes in a row. It was at the front table around 11pm on Saturday night, I was jumping around the casino lol when I hit the sixth point. I cashed out around 12,000. It was my second time staying at Caesars and I love it. Great crews and nice rooms.
