I have not seen early surrender anywhere. Been to Vegas plenty last two years. Seems like late surrender is available most everywhere.

Late surrender seems to be available for 6D and 8D games but during my visits over the years, I have not seen any early surrender options. Check out the WIZARD'S Guide for Vegas BJ.

Have you ever seen early surrender actually in play? I've been to 500 casinos and counting, and I've never seen it anywhere...

I regularly played early surrender games in Atlantic City at Resorts International as it was then called. Unfortunately, it didn't last. The casino claimed that even unskilled players could beat the game.

Some overseas places have had it. If pros get wind of it they fly out there and hit them hard.

I've never seen it INTENTIONALLY used as a rule. However, I had a dealer on a Spanish 21 table offer surrender before checking for an Ace. She also allowed extremely late surrender, as in if I got to a total I didn't like after hitting I could surrender then. I explained that wasn't right, and she told me that I was not right... I'm not going to argue if the dealer is giving me a rule in my favor!

I know of one place in Puerto Rico that allows early surrender. It's the Holiday Inn and Tropical Casino at Mayaguez.

You mean you CAN surrender if the dealer has a 10 showing, BEFORE he checks his hole card, but not if he has an ace showing?Quote: admirepr4. Early surrender except on A up card

There's no hole card in this game (ENHC). But I'm pretty sure he is saying that when the dealer has a 10 up, you can surrender before they take their second card. This is way less valuable than early surrender against an ace, obviously.

I think (not sure though, did not do any math, just a gut feeling), this is even less valuable than late surrender against an ace ...
