I am not an AP but hope someday to be there , I sometimes just play and flat bet the min, knowing that I am not risking much and could very well have a winning session or take a small loss.

I also sometimes play more aggressive, and pick a few spots to bet the table max or at least put a bigger bet out. I.E. when the felt is covered in small cards, I go for it and take a chance, hoping for a pat hand.

I still play perfect BS. I made my 1st stand on 16 vs 10, this past week in Vegas. There were many small cards out on the previous hand and the player at 1st base hit to around 7/ 8 cards and busted, no faces. So I stayed and won, next card was an Ace, dealer busted.

I knew 16 vs 10 was the closest decison, and I seem to bust so many times on this hand only to hear the dealer say : " OH I DIDNT HAVE IT !!"

Could card sense get me even w/ the casino ? Also utilizing the closest I18 plays at 1, 0, and -1 and make the decison after scanning the table.

Let me know your thoughts.

As for my trip to Vegas last week, had a great time !! Went to the MAACO bowl Boise steamrolled and they have some rabid fans, one of the funniest things I have ever seen , watching all the drunks storm the field !! Also went to the BB tournament at the Orleans- great place !! West Virginia vs Baylor ,what a game !!

My play was somewhat wild in terms of betting, got into the tanqueray !!!( No more, beer is fine ) Took a major loss that night , expensive tanqueray !! But w/ some well timed bets was able to finish even to the dollar. I will take that any day !!!

Met some very nice people, dealers, and pit bosses and especially enjoyed a few of the local establishments !!:)

Enjoy the rest of holidays, and good luck at the tables !!:)

You know that flat betting or flat betting while counting won't bring home the money. You mentioned some table max bets so I will give my "broken record" advice again. Do not over bet. This is not to say you were but remember any one unit bet can quickly become 4 or more units.

Not many players understand the 16 vs 10 play. Were you playing double deck with no surrender or was it a 3 card 16? In any case, it's good to see that you had your head in the game.
