What is the best counting method for a single deck game?

One that you know well and can execute flawlessly but not alert anyone to your activities.

I think that most of the benefit (for counters) in single-deck games lies in the greater penetration, so, yeah, like FleaStiff said, just use whatever style you're comfortable with.

I've been working on hi opt 1. I remember reading some place that it was good for single deck. The nugget in wendover,nv has frequent new dealers and some times penetration gets as high as 75%.

I remember reading some place that honesty was the best policy. Now what "hi opt 1" is and whether it is particular good for Single Deck or better than others for Single Deck, I don't know but let us assume you are correct. That recent article showed how fast they come down on card counters there so I guess its up to you as to what method to use to determine advantage but you know they will be watching you even if they are not watching the dealers closely enough.
