I have recently started playing a personal rule that I put down insurance if the dealer didn't get 21 on the previous 2 insurance opportunities. It seems 9/10 the dealer gets 21 on the 3rd time they're showing an Ace if they didn't get it on the last 2. Any opinions on this?

Opinions ? This is nonsense. But it is your money you're wasting, do with it what you want.

The dealer didn't get BJ his last two opportunities, does NOT mean that he is "due" to get BJ.

File it under "Gambler's Fallacy."

You mentioned in another post you know how to count. So... what's with the question?

If this 3rd opportunity is in the same shuffle as the first 2, there is a very small increased chance that the deck is rich in 10s. But, since you know how to count, just count the deck! Bet insurance at +3 and don't rely on hunches

We know that w/ an ACE showing the dealer will have BJ around 30 % of the time.

So if you take the INS bet every time , you stand to lose 7 out of 10 X

I agree w/ dwheatley, if you are not counting, dont take INS.
