I am going to Kaunas, Lithuania on business, and plan to spend some time in their three casinos over there playing blackjack.
I have never played blackjack in Europe before, and am a bit worried about the rules.
Here is the page I found that describes the game:
http://www.olympic-casino.com/index.php?id=35884&b=1&c_tpl=1066

It looks like the rules are not too bad - S17 (I think), double on any two cards, double after split, resplit to four hands ...
It seems that even early surrender is allowed except against ace. What confuses me about it is this phrase:

Quote:

One cannot surrender if aces are split, blackjack is obtained, the dealer’s first card is an ace or other players have already drawn additional cards.

Does this mean that if I am not playing on the first base, and want to surrender, I have to jump and yell out of turn to get dealer's attention before the first guy hits? Or is the dealer going to ask everyone before continuing the hand?
Is this rule customary in Europe?

Also, since they do not mention anything about only losing the original bet in case of the dealer's BJ, I am assuming, that the player loses all bets in that case. Do you think it is a reasonable assumption?

Are there any other peculiarities about BJ, and casinos in general in Europe that I should remember about?

A lot of casinos in Europe operate a membership policy, so take ID just in case.

I would advise you to ask when you enter about English speaking dealers/pit bosses and put all your questions to them, they should be able to help.

I also work with a guy from Kaunas, so Ill ask him when I see him if he knows more.
