HI !

Im wondering if it possible at all to make money at this casino by counting card ?
I have read Beat the Dealer by Thorp and I am using his High-low count system.

This is the rules at the casino:

Dealer stand on soft 17.
No surrender.
resplit up to 4 hands.
Only one card on split aces, Resplit of aces allowed.
Double after split allowed (but not on aces)
Double only on 9-11 allowed. (double on ace-8 and ace-9 allowed)
blackjack pays 3-2.
Dealer blackjack win all bets ( dealer blackjack and player blackjack = push )
Insurense allowed.
6 deck shoe.
Bets (money) 50-2500
dealer gets on card (no peak) european blackjack were the dealer do not get a hole card.

this is the rules they have . . is it possible to count cards here and make a profit in the long run with these very unfavoble rules ?

the dealers are not Vegas dealer, they are young people who still makes mistakes and a lot of them have the job at the casino as a part time job while they studie, so no worry what so ever that they will notes you counting and the pitt bosses are as well not the top of their class. garantee of no cheating from the casino, it to small to effort it !

I have tried out the casino and I had no problem what so ever raising my bet ( even from 50 to 300, 400 and 500. I did it for about 7 hours ) I lost some money and didnt make my expected profit so im wondering if it is possible at all to make money on this casino with these rules ?

Please let me know if you have any thing to commen on this or have some experince with a casino with the same rules (or something like it)

And im very sorry for my bad english but i hope you understand what im writting. At least my point!

Those rules aren't that bad... with that bet spread and no heat you should be able to beat the game in the long run. However, you will have less opportunities where the deck is favourable, so you may need to adjust the point at which you increase your bet (somewhere around a true count of 3 or 4). You can make up for this with bigger bets when you do have the advantage.

I would say the answer is "very unlikely". It is not a very favorable set of rules. House edge is 0.45% with realistic results. It is not the "worst" set of rules in Vegas.
===========
You need a few more rules in your favor (fewer decks, doubling on any two cards). Of course, card counting devotees claim you could beat this game. But keep in mind you need a huge bankroll.
===========
The double permitted on A-8 and A-9 seems like a cruel rule since there is so few times that you would want to do this.
==========
Look up the house edge calculator on the Wizard of Odds website (companion to this site).

Actually, the house edge with the no-hole-card rule is about 0.55/0.57 percent optimal/realistic. Certainly not good, but not terrible as well.

Is it beatable? Sure, any game is beatable if penetration is good enough and a suitable bet spread can be used. This particular game would need quite deep penetration to be at all worthwile.
