I only live near two casino's and the closest one only has virtual blackjack. There are five seats to sit in, a virtual table, and a virtual dealer for those who think im talking about playing blackjack on a slot machine im not.

My question is on these virtual blackjack tables are the odds the same as a regualr blackjack table? or are the odds worse? Is counting cards even worth while on these types of tables? and lastly when i play i noticed 2 out of the 4 virtual dealers who your playing against seem to beat you a lot more than do the other 2 dealers. For example ill win 60% of my hands with 2 of the dealrs but with the other two it drops right down to 40%, seems they pull 21's out of eitehr ace and a 10 or they'll have 14, 15, or 16 and pull a 21 more times than not. It gotten to the point i stop playing when these 2 virutal dealers start dealing.... To further demonstrate my point if you've seen vegas vacation with Chevy Chase. He is playing blackjack with a crowded table and a woman is dealing and everyone is getting 21's and winning more times then not. But then she leaves and that short bald headed dealer comes in and EVERYONE leaves except clark of course.. thats pretty much how i feel about that game with those 2 dealers.

can anyone elaborate a bit more on these new virtual blackjack tables for me, ive looked and searched the internet but cant find out much about them....on the odds and so forth and what not.

and those of you who are wondering and saying then just go to the other casino well that other casino is an hour away and the one i go to with virtual blackjack is 15 mins away. any other casino is gonna be a 2 plus hour drive.

I've seen the virtual blackjack games at a couple of casinos in Ontario and a virtual 3-card game at Casino Royale.

The decks will be random. The rules should be posted on the machine. These virtual games are in place to allow low limit players ($5, usually) to play at any time without employing a dealer. House advantages should be the same as regular blackjack.

I think the dealers at those virtual tables are a little creepy. Oh, sure, the are good looking, but have you ever really watched them? If nobody is playing, they simply have this absolutely dead stare, panning left and right, waiting. Then, when someone puts some money in, they suddenly spring to, well, I want to say 'life' but they are still somewhat cold, and semi dead.

Anyway, Vegas rules (or is it Nevada rules?) states that any gaming machine that simulates physical devices, like cards or dice etc., must be random just like real cards or dice. Machines placed outside Vegas (or Nevada) simply follow the rule because it's easier in the manufacturing process. Besides, with the house edge, and the lower cost to run the machine than having a live dealer, there's really no reason to cheat.

Your bad luck with the two cooler dealers is just that. Bad luck. After all, as depicted in the Vegas Vacation movie, cooler dealers exist with live dealers too.

On a side note, I love the end of that movie. They go to a 'different' kind of casino, where they play 'different' games. The games depicted are stupid games you'd never see in a real casino. The last game they play is "Guess the number" where you simply have to guess the number that the dealer is thinking.

The funny thing is, the first 'stupid' game at that casino that they play is, Casino War - a REAL casino game!

As I posted in your other thread of the same name, check out this ask the wizard column

One more note to add: If these machines accept player's cards like a slot machine, you should figure out the cash back rate (assuming there is one) and subtract it from the house edge to get a true return. It will likely be a lower rate than slot play (perhaps the same as video poker) but it can bring the house edge down a bit.
