The BIGGEST Breakout Blackjack Session of All Time! - Bluff (at the El Cortez)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrPeEAke3Rc

I was getting ready to bet on the Dealer hand and wondered if there would ever be a game for that and here it is! Breakout Blackjack!
Hidden rule: Dealer 17 pushes if it wins on Dealer bet.
Player hand hits until hard 17 if Dealer hand is bet, regardless of Dealer hole card.
Table limit is $2K, but Bluff got an exception for $4K.
There's no Double Down or Splits with the Dealer hand, it plays normally. Black Jacks pay 3:2 on a winning Dealer hand bet.

There are 4 side bets. Breakout & Tie bets can only be played when betting on the Dealer hand. Breakout and Tie bets must be matching bets if bet together. Breakout is a bet on the number of cards between the Dealer and Player if they both bust. Pair Up is another side bet. Sweet 17 can be used to offset a Push on a Dealer 17 win if betting the Dealer hand..

It can get very frustrating when you bet one way then switch to another way and the cards go against you both ways. Clearly Bluff is over-betting for his session bankroll, he probably shouldn't be betting over $1,000 unless he's on a progression. The side bets are draining away his stack but a big hit of 250:1 on a 12 card wreckage of a double bust that pays $25K for a $100 bet might get him an extra buy-in.

The dealer typically wins more than half the time and this game doesn't make the player a Banker having to pay out for splits and double downs. But that push on a Dealer 17 will probably make it so the Dealer doesn't get further ahead than on more than 50% of the hands overall.

If you think the Dealer is cursed because of the count, well, there's a continuous automatic shuffling machine that gets refilled after each hand, so forget the count. But you can still bet on Player hands and forget all the hoopla of the other bets and play normally.

(Picture) I was playing $240 bets with a $40 Sweet 17 bet (1/6th of my base bet), and the Dealer Bet pushed with a 17, so the Sweet 17 gave me a win for the hand. The Sweet 17 bet has an 8.66% HA, so I was just trying it out.

I played for a long while and got my $2K buy-in up to $7.77K at one point but I couldn't quite make it to $10K with a handful of more wins at the $600 bet level.

Once in awhile, I would change my bets and light up the Dealer Hand for my bet and enter the chips, but then as the hand progressed it would ask me if I wanted to Hit, Stand, or Double Down, or Split (depending on the cards the Player got). so I found myself playing the Player's Hand bet several times even though it was clearly a Dealer's Hand bet. Just a glitch. It also doesn't tell me how much I'm betting so if I misclick I may be betting the wrong amount, at least there's a clear button to erase my bet. I could run up to the table maximum of $2K on this game, but I never bet more than $600 today.

I could play this game if I was at a casino, but the HA just for betting on the Dealer hand is 1.55% which is 3X higher than regular Black Jack. I could still play regular Black Jack hands at this kind of table, but my session this time wasn't about that. I ran into a lot of ups and downs on the Dealer's Hand bet. I just have to be patient to see where it leads. Again, quitting at 15 bets ahead with a triple-up on my buy-in may be all I need for this game.

Yet you have no problem playing side bets

I think this game is going to be really big. I saw some people playing it at the Strat during G2E... but they were all betting on themselves instead of the dealer.

Have you seen it anywhere being dealt without a CSM?
