I played a game tonight with rules i have never seen. First it is a 4 deck game. S17. Double any 2 or 3 Cards (yes that is right) but wait there's more. Late surrender and surrender after double down. Split aa 4 times. Double after split. And 3 or more card 21 is automatic win. Dealer doesn't have a chance to make 21 for a push. Blackjack is 3 to 2. Anyone have any strategy for surrender after Double down.

Was dealt a 3 4 then a 4. I doubled and pulled a 10 for 21. I was paid on both bets right away and my cards cleared. Then dealer made 21. Crazy. I am not making this up.

Only thing I can think of is they are pulling 10s from the deck. I played 3 shoes and the count was positive 5 to 10 and more the whole time for 3 shoes.

You were playing Spanish 21. You should double down rescue (surrender after doubling down) with any stiff hand vs 8, 9, T, or A as well as 17 v A

Ok makes sense now. I am researching the rules and strategy. At least my suspicion of removing 10s was correct. 1 won 24 units in an hour and got out of there. After some research this seems to be a more beatable game than blackjack. I need to get a book for all basic strategy variations and applying card counting.

Your answer was simple and huge help.

Thanks

I think this book is the authority on Spanish 21.

At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Also if anyone could tell me the probability of the player busting while following basic strategy in Spanish 21 I would be greatly appreciative.
