anyone been to Gold Dust West in Elko, Nevada?

I read a post listing all the single deck bj in the states. Gold Dust West in elko nevada is one of them. I am wondering how quality the game over there? How many rounds been dealt for the single deck game? Will dealer shuffle the deck when a big spread out there? I couldn't find many information on the internet for this specific casino.

If it is not that high quality, then I am not going to make a trip to Elko at all. Please let me know if anyone has counted cards there before.

Stopped in once but didn't end up playing. Low max low roller joint with just a couple tables. I wouldn't bother unless was driving by on way from Reno to bendover or had run into trouble in bendover, only 1.5 hours from there and many more tables with rules as good so why not try there instead?

I would not travel to Elko to play blackjack. My expectation would be that they'll REALLY sweat anything more than two-reds action. Plus, you have to get out of town when you leave, and it's several hundred miles to, well, anything. You might find yourself being waylaid by the county mounties after the casino calls them and tells them you beat them out of $3000. I've experienced a couple of personal horror stories in rural Nevada, and heard of a dozen more.

However, quite possibly the best AP opportunity in the state right now can be found in Elko. PM me if you're interested (I will, of course, want my usual $1000 finder's fee).

As Elko is near Mickey Crimmland (sort of), I wouldn't be surprised if he's already sniffed this one out.

When you're grinding VP at Sam's Town I can see how full-pay Deuces for dollars can seem like the best AP in the state. Good news: it isn't.

You seem to think that playing at Sam's Town is the mark of the lowest of the low. You equate it with dumpster diving, or maybe being a serial rapist. You certainly seem to think that characterizing me as a lowly Sam's Town player is the most devastating insult you could manage. I'm not ashamed, however, to say that I have given them a lot of action over the years, and quite frankly, even now, there are more AP opportunities there than I suppose you're even aware of.

And re the actual play in Elko: your guess is wrong, but playing $1 FPDW with absolutely no heat and pretty good comps and mailers to boot is better than anything else you'll find in terms of longevity. Sure, there are plays that are worth more per hour, but they're either limited in access (time), subject to heat, or require a massive bankroll (ROI pretty low percentage-wise).

I made the mistake of thinking you might have something to add to the discussion. I admit, I should have known better. And my feelings aren't hurt at all. Your disdain adds greatly to my sense of self-worth :)

See you at Sam's Town!
