This is my first post on this fantastic site, and was wondering if there might be a Jokers Wild regular on this forum who can provide me with the blackjack conditions there? The Wizard does not provide blackjack house-edge information for this casino.
I hear that there is a 6-deck shoe game with a $3 minimum and a double-deck game with a $5 minimum? What are the rules for each game?
Thank you very much in advance for the help!
Standard Vegas rules. 6D H17 No LS RSA allowed. 2D H17 No RSA. I think no DAS on the 2D game since that is a standard rule at Boyd properties. (Jokers is Boyd). I have no idea what the counting conditions are like. The minimums are as you described. Great, underrated casino with a very good craps game and good food/drink/promos.Quote: eastcoastnewfieHello everyone!

The $5 double deck allows double down after splitting. The $3 shoe does not.
Quote: IbeatyouracesI dunno if this is the case there or not, but Teddys forgot the other standard Vegas rule....bj pays 6:5 :-)~
All blackjack pays 3-2 at Joker's Wild. I don't think there are any 6-5 games on Boulder Highway. There are a few Super Fun 21 tables at Boulder Station and Sam's Town. I think that is as bad as the house edge gets at blackjack on Boulder Strip.
DD is $5 min, $300 max. 6D is $3 min, $300 max. Both games have the same rules: H17, 3:2 BJ, DAS, noRSA, noLS. I believe re-splitting is allowed up to 4 total hands. Resplitting aces is not allowed (hence, noRSA). The two main BJ games have the Royal Match side bet (suited pays 2.5:1, suited KQ[?] pays 25:1, IIRC). The other tables do not have this side bet. They are indeed a Boyd property but DO NOT use the regular Boyd players card. They have their own players card, that they share with their sister property. I forgot the name of the sister property, but I believe it's over there near the rainbow club. I think you turn left out of JW parking lot, turn right at the first light, and you'll run into it.
If you're going to "throw down big action" on either the BJ or craps table, you might want to call ahead and ask them to do a fill with black cheques prior to your showing up, because they don't regularly stock the games with black. Occasionally they'll have "left over" black cheques because a big player was in recently.

Is this a joke? The conditions are the pit is looney tunes. If you look under 40 and are not a regular, your ID might be taken from you and you will be required to tell them your birth date to verify that you at least memorized the fake birthday listed on your fake ID. If you spread 1-4 on 6D, they may count down the discard rack. If you find yourself wondering around in a landfill in the middle of nowhere, it might not be a landfill, the Joker's Wild sign just might be malfunctioning. They also aren't open 24 hours. Yes, they have those minimums. Oftentimes, only one table is open. I don't remember the rules. If you decide to go there, hit them hard and leave immediately even if you don't perceive heat. Go to Stations for a better time.
Quote: PokeraddictI was there compiling blackjack data and the dealer told me you can only DAS on the DD. The $3 six-deck shoe did not permit it. I did not play the game though so I may have been given bad information, which certainly wouldn't be the first time.
This is wrong.

Sounds like someone had a bad time.

I didn't lose money. And I didn't get 86ed if that's what you mean. But if the place is demolished and turned into a nuclear waste depository disguised as an abandoned building where homeless people do drugs and have sex, then the market value of the surrounding real estate will increase. The only thing missing from Joker's Wild is a Wildfire next door.
It's not a bad area nor a bad casino. The Skyline -- now THAT place is weird.Quote: KneegrowsI didn't lose money. And I didn't get 86ed if that's what you mean. You believe correctly - El Dorado. The club is called Prime Rewards. To get there from JW, head south on Boulder Highway, then it's right at the second light (Water Street), and follow Water Street until you get there. IIRC, the main parking lot is on the south, although there is some parking on the north side.
However, I seem to recall that El Dorado got rid of all of its tables; according to the website, it's only machines (slot, VP, etc.), keno, bingo, and a sports book.

What is wrong about it? You can double down after splitting in the $3 game?
