Greetings everyone!

Well, after playing even for three months prior, the last two months have been very good. VERY GOOD. Thought I would share a bit, i.e. ramble and pontificate:

The last 12-gambling trips spread out over 70-days, I have left up 11-times. Last night was my 12th trip, and I won $2200 in about 20-minutes. Three shoes of double deck, mostly $100 hands, with an occasional spread to two hands of $200. (which turned into splits and double downs a couple of times, etc.)

In a very un-"Rip-like" manner, I ate my dinner, and left way up, without angering the vengeful BJ Gods with unbridled greed, lol.

Here's the thing: My bankroll is big enough now due to this hot streak that I relax and gamble freely. This called to mind the Wiz said on one of those Discovery Network Vegas shows, "Instead of taking a little money, and trying to win a lot, why not take in a lot of money and try to win a little?" Smart man, that Wiz. (That was you, right Wiz?)

Thing is, "a lot", and "a little" are very relative terms. So if I have 5-G bankroll, a $500 bet is not as stressful. What is stressful, is getting down to $100, and running it back up to $2,000. It's crazy the same bet size can seem like nothing, or like the world is on your shoulders, depending on how much cash you have in your pocket, and also the type of streak you are on. The swings are ridiculous: Four trips ago, I went down $2,700, only to get it back and go up $400. The pit boss was like, "Why are you still here? Leave up!" ha ha.. I love my casino.

The sixth trip was the losing venture. The only reason that I am not 12/12 is b/c after being up $2-K, and having my dinner. I sat in my car, pondering a huge score. I tried to make myself OK with losing my $4-K plus bankroll, plus my $2-K winnings. Which I then proceeded to do, ha ha!

I'm OK with this, b/c when I review where I was on many of my winning sessions, I was often down $2500, and would fight my way back to leave up, so factoring in all the swings, meh...sometimes you want to go for it, either down or up. Worth noting, I have probably left $800 - $1,000 behind in tips for dealers over this stretch.

Regardless, as a non-card counting, "feel" type gambler, this is quite fun.

Thanks aceofspades (seriously, my favorite card)!

Yeah, I'm glad you brought up fun. I often remark that I'm the only one whooping it up in the high limit room. At first, the dealers all acted a bit surprised, albeit happily. Seriously, it felt like a library, where somebody was going to caution you to use your indoor voice or something, lol...All the players seemed to be dead eyed and silent. Somber.

At least at the $5 table, people are cheering and excited.
