If you don't mind me asking, what supermarket do you shop at? Have you had a problem being suspected of being an "advantage shopper"? I figured that corporations and "big data" would eventually get to that point; I didn't think that we were at that point now! Have you known people that have been banned from stores for noncriminal, but nonetheless undesired, activities? WTF?! (Were They Frustrated?)

I once got backed off by my local 711 for too many times with deposit slurpee cups.

Dang, ruined my own joke... supposed to be "with refill slurpee cups."

Sorry to post on an old thread. I was playing blackjack the other day at Borgata. I have a black label card there. I really haven't gone there a whole lot, maybe once a month. They did email me a free room offer about a month ago which I used then. I was betting $25-50. After 2 hours I was down $500. I got up for a second and 2 suits were behind me. They asked me if I was so and so and for my ID. I didn't really answer them and said I don't have it. They said it's required to have ID when in the casino. I grabbed my chips and they said well if you don't have ID then you can't play. So I left. I had previously played there rated fine and was receiving several match play offers a month. The next day I logged into my account and all future match play's were deleted. Apparently I am still invited to go to the comedy club complimentary. I'm not sure about my comps. I only have like $15 anyways so I don't really care.

I think that what happened was the MGM and Borgata systems merged and I was flagged in the MGM system.

Sometimes you just have to wonder, what if Germany won WWII, would you still have your comps? Maybe they did and we dont even know it. It's that unfair to you.

You don't need ID to be in a casino but they can ask you to leave if you do not provide it. Whether they know you or not, NEVER show it to them!

Sandy - so you were just playing basic and betting either $25 or $50 and they took an issue with you (possibly due to merging with the MGM system where you were flagged)? I assume you were counting/spreading at MGM to get flagged there then?

Sounds like a really poor management decision if you were flagged so they looked at you, and you were only betting $25 and $50 (i.e. couldn't possibly have a winning game unless they had the best rules in the country, maybe). They should welcome any non-AP action.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

They're switching over to the Mlife card very shortly. So yeah, you were flagged because of that.

There was perhaps other things going on that I wasn't aware of that I don't want to mention on a public forum. I wasn't counting (who would count there with their rules?) I may or may not be flagged in the MGM system. Let's just say that while the Mid Atlantic casinos don't seem to use databases, they are quite chummy with each other.

I did receive an MLife card in the mail from Borgata the other day. It has a different card # than my current MLife card. But for now, I won't be playing rated anywhere for some time.
