I have 16 and dealer showing a 10.
Should I stick since count so high, good chance of busting.
If so, stick on 12 13 14 15?
If changing strategy due to a high count, at what number would you change basic strategy. Say +1 you would hit but plus 8 stick. At what plus number would you change strategy.
The other ones aren't as simple to remember as exactly 0, it just coincidently happens to be right for that play. Look up the I-18 (stands for Illustrious 18 IIRC and contains the 18 most important strategy variations.)
Ramping up betting is way, way more important, though.
Learning indices, I believe, is about 33% of your EV for a card counter. Most of your edge comes from bet ramping.
For HiLo, you stand on 16vT if RC is greater than 0. If it's less than 0, you hit. If its exactly 0, I don't remember. I always stand though.

What count are you using and is the majority of your play single deck?

Just the simple system. -1 for 10's and ace, +1 for 2 to 6.
Just doing this for fun.
1 deck game only

That's Hi-Lo.

Shouldn't you be using composition dependent basic strategy on that game?

You are probabbly right but that sounds a little complicated.
Just playing for fun, hi-lo gives me a fighting chance.
Low rollers just want to have fun. I like the El. Feeling real comfortable playing there.

It's my favorite place for Craps, too. I like Binion's best for PGP, but it was probably just because of the super-quick drink service and super friendly dealer, she had to be pushing sixty, be cool if she was still there next time.

Stand on 16 at 0. Stand on 15 at 4. Stand on 14 at 7. Stand on 13 at 13. You're more likely to hit 17 than stand on 12.
