Deck Penetration - Advice needed

I believe this post is a long shot, but my trip to vegas is in the coming weeks & I have yet to select a definite place to play at (or at least the first place I will play). Basically, im using the wizard's 'blackjack survey' to find the game I want to play but so far its a toss up & to whether or not the game will be dealt to an acceptable penetration. The game im looking to play is Double Deck S17 DAS (usually found in the high roller rooms) & im looking for a game with about 60% - 65% penetration. If any of you guys happen to know of any places that deal this game deeply or can offer any advice on places that typically have good penetration (or places to avoid) I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Any DD S17 game is probably watched carefully. Mirage had one table right across from their high limit room that is $25 min, sometimes $50 min. But you mentioned high limit room so I'm assuming that you're okay with $100 min and willing to play a significant spread. Several MGM/Mirage properties have this game. Or at least they used to. If you don't mind possibly being backed off from all of their properties go for it. For me, DD, H17 is more inviting.

Yes I dont mind the high minimum bets or dealing with the heat that comes along with playing, I just want to make sure the game I am playing has good or at least acceptable deck penetration (60% - 65%). This is the information I am looking for.

As I recall Mirage has pen at least that good--unless things have changed. If it feels a little warm at the S17 game, I'd take that as a warning. TI used to have a S17 DD game too. And they're not affiliated.

Ok I will definitely check out the Mirage, it was one of the places I was considering staying at. I will also swing by Treasure Island before I leave, hopefully I will get some good games. Thanks for the advice John!

Hope things go well for you. I would think its highly dealer variable but perhaps your report will indicate otherwise.

Yea well I was thinking that most casinos have a set penetration they require their dealers to deal to, but hopefully this type of game does vary from dealer to dealer.

FYI, Mirage is one of the sweatiest places on the Strip.
