Thanks for the help!
Quote: jket25Would you mind telling me what they are? I know for example insurance is the right play at TC +3 and splitting tens is correct at +5 but what about just hitting10 and 11 instead of doubling , what neg count calls for this , and how about 12 vs dealer 2 and 3, I would guess that a certain positive TC would make standing the correct play vs hitting
Search "Blackjack Index Plays" or "Card Counting Index plays" in Google or something along those lines and you will find some good free charts (don't pay there are plenty of free ones).
I beleive Wizard of Odds has a page on Index (but for some reason this work computer blocks WOO for gambling content/ but not WOV). And there are several other reputable sites that have them as well (but I can't accsess gambling sites right now so I can't give you a precise link, but you will find plenty including WOO if you enter one of those terms in Google).

The Illustrious 18 is a good place to start. Search this site or the Wizard of Odds site.
hilo count = 0, double = 0.174, hit = 0.118
count = -1, double = 0.157, hit = 0.115
count = -2, double = 0.143, hit = 0.111
count = -3, double = 0.128, hit = 0.106
count = -4, double = 0.109, hit = 0.104
count = -5, double = 0.092, hit = 0.100
Looks like with a count <= -5, you hit vs. double.
Quote: motrekI used my app (Blackjack X) to work out some EVs for you. This is 5,6 vs. dealer 10, liberal Vegas rules:
hilo count = 0, double = 0.174, hit = 0.118
count = -1, double = 0.157, hit = 0.115
count = -2, double = 0.143, hit = 0.111
count = -3, double = 0.128, hit = 0.106
count = -4, double = 0.109, hit = 0.104
count = -5, double = 0.092, hit = 0.100
Looks like with a count <= -5, you hit vs. double.
The other option is not playing at -5.
