Hi,

I am hoping someone can help.

What's the odds of a dealer getting any 3 seven's in a six deck game with 4 boxes in play?
What's the odds of a dealer getting any 3 red seven's in a six deck game with 4 boxes in play?

Thanks

Technically you have to say what the Blackjack rules are as it's possible all four hands have busted or received BJs beforehand. This would need a lot of combinational analysis.

I assume you're actually asking what's the chances of the dealer (or indeed anyone else who hits rather than stands or splits) to receive three sevens. The answer is simply 1/13 * (4D-1)/(52D-1) * (4D-2)/(52D-2) where D is the number of decks. For red sevens use 1/26 then 2D.

Does not matter how many boxes are in play.
Any 3 sevens is: combin(24,2)/combin(312,2) * 22/310
3 red sevens is: combin(12,2)/combin(312,2) * 10/310

The above two posts are correct assuming you mean only 7 sevens and not hands like 7,2,7,7 or 7,7,A,7
