1.46%

All of this is in the companion site wizard of odds, specifically at the Charlie page.

Dan, I don't think this was the question.

Dan, I don't think this was the question.

I assumed he meant hitting a hand normally, and receiving dealt cards (using B.S.) until he got a five card Charlie, and looking for info on that. The title of the thread was "Five Card Charlie."

If he meant dealing a five card packet without regard to playing BJ, odds, the value of the hand (and perhaps the title of the thread) would be different.

Neither one of you asked how many decks were involved.

No, considering the OP hadn't.

I just provided a link to the Blackjack Charlie page considering the depth, specifications, and the parameters of the OP; the linked page considers an infinite deck.

If you consider the OP's thread title as one of the parameters, the link was a good response, as in: here is five card Charlie information. I assume he meant it as a Blackjack gambling question. If you draw five cards of 21 or less without it meaning anything in Blackjack (not an automatic win), it's about 2% of the time or one in 50 hands.
