Long time lurker - new poster - apologies if this has been discussed before.

Had this game at Paris while we were there a couple of weeks ago - had a good run of cards and won some money. Pretty fun game, but had never seen it before.

Dealer 22 is a push which sucks, BJ pays 3:2 - the interesting parts of the game were on a 10 or 11 if you didnt like your doubledown card you could burn it and take another. You could also split a hard 15 or 16 - which worked nicely against a dealer bust card once or twice.

Anybody else ever play this and what did you think?

House edge of .55%. Not completely horrible - like most BJ variants.

It was offered downtown as well where I played it in 2011.

It's a fun game with a little more action than the standard game. It definitely feels good to throw that stiff card away when doubling down. And splitting 15 and 16 is another "feel good" rule that has clear benefits.

I don't think CVCX will let me run simulations on this game - but logic would suggest the the full 3:2 payout and increased doubling down opportunities/winning hands, would suggest card counting would work here to improve EV.

Thanks - since I've fallen for craps in the last few years I dont spend near as much time playing BJ - so I guess I'd just never noticed this game.

Had fun playing it.
