I won everytime at one casino for the past six days. Im not using players card and the penetration is great. Should I be worried about eye in the sky. Pit bosses dont seem to care. But they have noticed me. Im wondering if I should go back today

At another casino the dealer asked me if Ive been winning and how Im doin the moment I sat down. Im getting questions like they want to know about me. Im being paranoid.

No one can answer whether you should be worried without knowing more details, like what level you are playing and where you are playing, as every place is different with heat concerns and comfort level.

I believe many pit folks to be just "working Joe's". They just want to get through their day with as little hassle and effort as possible and get on to their next thing, whether it be a couple drinks at the bar after work, home to the family, little league practice or vegging in front of the TV. But it is a mistake to think that they just don't care. Someone is watching them. If not directly, through numbers. And they have to answer for things. Believe me, if you are hitting them regularly, to the point that they have noticed you, unless you are playing very low limit, they care.

One trick that is often used is that the pit clears out, busying themselves with other things in other areas and other side of the pit. I SEEMS like no one is watching you. This is done so you will feel comfortable, but the fact is you are being evaluated from above. For me when no one is around or 'seems to care', red lights flash.

What do you consider very low limit.

Standard stuff... we refer it to as 'customer service' or just 'being friendly'.

It typically goes one of a couple ways:

Player joins the table.
MM: Hey, how's it going tonight, you makin' any money?
Player: Yeah, I just won (big bucks) on (some other game).
MM: That's great, let's see if we can keep your streak going!

-or-

Player joins the table.
MM: Hey, how's it going tonight, you makin' any money?
Player: Nah, I'm down (some amount of money).
MM: That sucks, let's see if we can turn things around for you.

-or-

Player joins the table.
MM: Hey, how's it going tonight, you makin' any money?
Player: It's up and down.
MM: Sounds like when I play, let's see if we can get you some more of the up and less of the down.

It's all about opening a dialog and saying something positive. There are dozens of situations where it doesn't matter how a player answers a question, I have a positive reply.

Sometimes its best to be honest anyway.

If they ask are you winning or how are you doing, say something like "Yeah, this trip I seem to be doing well" which implies that you have prior losses that are on your mind. If the question was simply courteous, so too is your response. If the question was part "surveillance" they now view you as honest and straight forward, which is good.

So don't worry if a dealer or floor person greets you ... its probably just "customer service small talk" such as "where are you from" it doesn't mean they really care where you live, they are just being sociable.

I've never had my floor come up to me and say, "Surveillance wants an integrity check on this guy, ask how he's been doing and let me know what his answer is." Not saying it couldn't or never happens, but I've never heard of it.

No, it would be more likely to be said to the floor if at all. Its simply that the original poster is concerned that this greeting might be part interrogation and the best way to play it is to simply be forthright and keep on playing.
