Quote: IbeatyouracesI've made this play numerous times. Even funnier when 4's get split against a 10.
splitting 4`s i agree with but doubling on 6 vs ten up is being greedy imo.I think that play is worse than hitting hard 17.

You agree with splitting 4's vs a 10??? Doubling on 6 vs 10 is greedy?? I'm so confused. I view neither of those plays as greedy, just plain foolish. The casino will win fast enough with correct strategy employed, why help them along?

I assume that condition is to lose those hands , thereby disguising your great skills from casual observers.

I was playing in Indianna and a new dealer gave an ace incorrectly to a player. A suit was called over and said the card (an ace) would be the next card played. Seat 1 was the 1st to get the card if he wanted it. He had been playing $100 @ hand for over an hour. He had 2 tens as his hand and everyone told him to double but he would not do it..............$100 a hand and he did not undersstand the game!!!!!!

I believe he is specifically referring to hole-carding and knowing the dealer has a total of fifteen-sixteen. For 15-16 the dealer must hit and is more likely to bust than any other possibiity, so based on that alone, you are better than 50% to win the hand(s) as long as you do anything except bust.
