If it really didn't happen (and I have photo proof at http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b146/TIMSPEED/Jackpots/ ) I wouldn't have believed it myself!
Last sunday, 6/19, I was playing 5c 8/5 Bonus Poker SuperTimesPay Triple-Play...I dunno why, but I held AdKdTd...top line, BAM in came the JdQd for a $200 royal. Woohoo!
Next day, 6/20, I was sucking out my free play ($75) on 25c 9/6 JoB, 53/60 hands, I held KsQs, up popped the As10sJs, BAM! This time a $1000 royal!
After TWO royals in TWO days I kinda just slacked off for the rest of the week because I figured I wouldn't hit anything now.
Come friday, 6/24, I was playing at one of the bars (truthfully I was just watching all the pretty women walk past to go into the showroom for a concert) and I held QhKhJhAh not even thinking about it, and in came the 10h for $200 MORE (I was playing 5c 8/5 Bonus Poker) WTF?! THREE ROYALS! I KID YOU NOT, the ABSOLUTE NEXT HAND, I hit DEAL and up popped 2AAAA! Not that it was a HUGE hand, considering I was only playing nickle bonus, but STILL!
So, not really believing that I had hit THREE royals in a week, I just went about my normal play on Saturday and Sunday.
Well, low and behold on Sunday 6/26, playing the machine NEXT to the machine where I hit my royal the sunday before, I held the same three cards, AdKd10d and up popped the QdJd for ANOOOOTHER $200 royal flush!!!
So this makes FOUR ROYALS in a WEEK! ($1600 total score)
I know the bad part of this though...I'm going to be missing royals for a VERRRRY long time!

Nice pics. Where the heck do they still have flush attack?

Nice progressive win at GSR!

Oh yeah, the four royals are nice too :)

Those particular flush attacks were at CarsonValleyInn, before it was bought out...they were only nickles...

Maybe you're just catching up from not having enough royals in the past and now the pace will be normal.

Congrats!

That's actually what I THOUGHT, considering I've went like 6 trips without having one! (of course, that just means 6 weeks to me)
That bad part is..3 of them were only nickles...I ALMOST got a 5th one on Sunday, playing 25c, I got a 4-card-royal, but couldn't draw the Qd, doh!

I don't even consider a 4 card royal an almost event. I draw and get dealt 4 card royals at least 10-15 times a session. Drawing to 3 cards is the most common royal.

I do, considering your chances goes from 1 in ~48000, to 1 in 48.

Drawing a foyal which goes nowhere does nothing but raise the blood pressure.

I had a pretty good week a year ago: On a Sunday, hit a $1,000 royal. .. hit a second $1,000 royal on Tuesday.. .. on Sunday, won a casino promotion for a free trip for two to Lake Tahoe, and living in Michigan, that's huge!

Is this a term I've missed?

A Foyal. (foiled again)

Foyal - drawing to a royal and coming up short.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

I've had a few good runs in the past three years..
Starting off, I hit two $1000 royals in two days, then two weeks later, I hit another $1000 royal at the same place as the first one.
Then I think 6 months ago, I hit a $1000 royal and also won $1250 in a slot tournament that same day.
Then 6 months before that I hit the $1200 progressive royal, then $500 aces.
Now if I could just stay away from the craps table, I'd be just fine.

Foyal = 4 to the royal on the deal
