If I just played the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, column on the European wheel, what would the odds be if I waited to bet till there were 10 spins without one of these columns hitting. I bet the 11th, what are my odds of winning by the 20th spin. Thanks

Waiting is irrelevant. Past performance does not predict future random events.
The odds of something "not" happening is merely 1 minus the odds of the other thing happening.
The odds of the other 2 columns or zero hitting is 25 / 37. The odds of that happening 10 times in a row is ( 25 / 37 ) ^ 10
Therefore, the odds of not losing all 10 spins is:
1 - ( 25 / 37 ) ^ 10 = 0.980167

All this waiting. Just to bust a losing streak.Quote: GreenwarriorIf I just played the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, column on the European wheel, what would the odds be if I waited to bet till there were 10 spins without one of these columns hitting.

Probability of seeing a losing streak of 10 on a column
49spins 25.059047%
108spins 50.170269%
Half the time one would have to wait over 108 spins and no column losing 10 in a row.
152 spins is the average
341 spins 90.055623% and still waiting 1 out of 10 times.
DJ is right, it means nothing to wait.
Also if you did see 10 losses in a row then started to bet that the losing column will win in the next 10 spins,
looks like you will need to do some sort of a losing progression,
and those progressions lose more less often the more you play them than the small wins that happen most of the time.

Absolutely - it makes no difference (unless there's a biased wheel) to wait; except it saves you money as you're not betting so get better value by time for your eventual bet.Quote: guido111All this waiting...it means nothing to wait...
