Using the H&R, you will never have a HUGE win. I have heard and seen many instances at craps, blackjack, baccarat tables, where players go on sick rushes (buy in for 100$ run it up to 10,000$+) . When I hear stories about a player that are up 10X they're buy-in...people ask me what I would do.. and truth is... I can not answer because I would never be in that situation.
It is agreed that it is very rare for a gambler to just get DESTROYED. Now I'm not saying.. player buys in for 100,000$ then bets 30,000$, 30,000$, 40,000$.. loses 100,000$ in three hands.. To me.. losing 100,000$ would be getting destroyed financially.. but in the gambling sense.. player only lost three bets.. not destroyed at all. What I am talking about is an average player buys in for 200$ at blackjack table.. Bets 10$ per hand and dumps 20 hands without a winner. THAT would be getting DESTROYED. Very rare to see that.
The point of all this... (it is 3.14am where I am at.. and feel got all these thoughts I feel that I have to write them down here to try and make sense)...
If a person gave me a fifty billion dollars.. told me to go to casino and win 10$ profit before losing the 50 billion$ bankroll... I would GUARANTEE I could do it. Now for me to be able to guarantee winning 10$.. well if I can do it once, I can do it again.. and again.. and again.. etc... Now what I am thinking.. a player could play.. get up 40$ profit.. and leave. or walk around... let the mind relax itself.
With this mindset.. how can a person lose? to have a lose amount extremely low.. and win amount then leave not high?

Winning is just a mindset... Go for it, dude, how
can you possibly lose.
Very rare for you to see that perhaps. I see it frequently. Usually just about every time I buy in for two hundred!Quote: minnesotajoean average player buys in for 200$ at blackjack table.. Quote: 1BBLosing 20 hands in a row may be rare but losing $200 at $10 a hand is all too common because you came to the table with an insufficient bankroll.
I've seen some of these charts about "units" at a craps table as a function of "time at table", but those charts always refer to some jerk making only PassLine bets (usually without odds), no come bets much less come bets with odds, never placing the 6/8 and never tipping either the dealers or the cocktail waitress. Well, that seems to make the charts applicable to very few real players.
Anyone know a reasonably sufficient BankRoll for one hour of craps at a ten dollar table but doing PassLine with Odds, about two ComeBets with odds and a place bet or two as well as a few tips now and then? Odds would be at least 2x.

It would really help readability if you stopped ****ing up the quote tags in your reply. Your replies often look like they are part of the original post, which probably means people aren't reading them. I think you're just accidentally deleting the trailing /q with brackets around it.
FWIW in this case I agree with you, the original post is pointless.
Quote: SOOPOOJoe- I can assure you that when I sit down at a table after driving or flying to the casino, and win my first hand I am not thinking about leaving with that extra $20 in my pocket. I never go to a casino to try and make some small amount, but rather, I go to enjoy the game, the competition, and the time spent in those endeavors. And if I happen to win, then that's a bonus.
If anyone expects to win a red cent palying any hand other than video or live poker, he's dreaming, wishing, hoping, stupiding.......SOOPOO travels the whole dang world playing BJ just for fun. He is a doctor by trade and professional trainer by design.

I don't usually change anything, to my knowledge. If people don't read them who gives a ffff - not me and not them.
Quote: minnesotajoeI just read my OP.... yeah.. haha. I have no clue what I was thinking. I am pretty sure that I had 10 thoughts in my head and was trying to combine them to come up with way to crush the casinos.... but I should have taken a nap first!
Don't be too hard on yourself. Nearly all of us have had the exact same idea. Leave the casino and think "why didn't I leave while I was ahead, how could I keep playing like a fool and give it all back, how come I am always ahead at some point and never leave ahead at any point." In BJ it is true that one is usually ahead at some point, playing so close to even. The others are just mind confusion. To combat some of the self incrimination, when playing BJ if I get up several credits, I will set aside my buy in, plus a red chip for the dealer, plus a $5 red to establish a win. Then when I lose all my playable chips, I quit with a small win for the dealer and me and everyone quits happy. Amazing, though, how often that potentially last hand will offer me a double or split or several - have to play the odds so there goes my guaranteed win, and now I have to keep playing to get back to my desired departure position, correct?

Huh, weird...I've noticed it with several of your replies. This one is fine though so maybe it was just an aberration.

Really? Careful. Nothing is ever guaranteed. Especially when every game has a house edge. Is it probable that you could play in a casino for a couple of hours with a $50 billion bank roll, and leave with $50 billion and $10?? Yes.
100% Guarantee? No way. You can't take back 100%.
(This is just me playing hardball math).
The math would probably say that with that BR, playing the right type of game, you could easily, with a 99.2% probability, make that $10. But that is not 100%.
Cheers. :)
