I do add garlic salt to pizza and definitely add salt and soy sauce to Chinese food. I probably eat four times as much salt as the average person.

Yeah, no.
"Most Americans eat too much salt—and they may not even know it. Americans eat on average about 3,400 mg of sodium per day. However, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends adults limit sodium intake to less than 2,300 mg per day"
Five times 2300 is over 11,000 mg a day. I think you would probably die if you ate that much salt every day yet for some reason you think people do. The average American eats less than twice the amount of recommended salt. Maybe you should discover Google, it was made for people like you.
If you believe American Dietary Guidelines then that speaks volumes about you. Didn’t they have white bread and pasta at the bottom of the food pyramid all those years lol. And they said you should eat transfat laden margarine instead of butter, which might very well be the dumbest, most dead wrong food advice ever given. And yet you still believe themQuote: EvenBobQuote: Ace2And the average American eats about five times his daily salt requirement

A human being needs about 600 mg of daily sodium. 3400 / 600 = 5.67
You’re the one that needs to learn how to use Google, EB. With it, you can do your own independent research instead of blindly following the biased, lobbied, historically wrong American Dietary Guidelines like most people did in the pre-internet age

You go ahead and eat 600 mg a day, let us know how you feel. LOL
Never mind all the dead/dying/hacking/unhealthy smokers you’d seen. No government agency had declared it hazardous yet

(trimmed heavily)
"Uh-oh", 11000mg is about as much salt as is found in 10 cans of Spaghetti-O's (with Meatballs), or 11 Big Mac's.
Those buckets (?) of fruit looked quite stylish. A bit pineapple-heavy for my taste, but honeydew is likely out of season.

Still waiting for that Platona, Ace2. Exhibition back though! the newest model. I'm on the list and I do have pull.
DD Blackjack.
Was a struggle! for sure. Lot of back and forth, heavy hitting.

And this is the MDawg challenge.
A bigger tournament is coming up.
Roulette, every time I am in high limit, if there is anyone playing, I hear someone get up and yell over hitting a number.
Blackjack, people cheer and high five each other all the time.
Baccarat, if the table is playing together on a run, which generally Baccarat players tend to play mostly on the same side, there will be cheering and excitement upon a win and calling out for a certain type of card (whether it be a "Monkey" or "three sides" or "Katow") along the way.
Just the fact that in high limit the Bacc players are handling the cards leads to a delay in the results being known, which in itself tends to build up the level of emotion.
When a Baccarat table is running badly, there is a different kind of emotion at hand. Quiet, but very tense, as the high bet is rolling the cards nervously and looking desperately for what is needed to make the win happen.
Quote: MDawgIt just depends on the person. I've seen someone win or lose $500,000. hands and show no emotion whatsoever, and I've seen people jump up and shout over a relatively small blackjack, roulette or baccarat win.
When I was playing the Wizard witnessed session, and that was at a public table actually, when I won 8/8 on the only Player run of the shoe, everyone present including the dealer and the Wizard himself clapped.
DD Blackjack.
This was a pretty long session. Was basically even or behind for most of it, pulled ahead at the very end.

And this is the difference between you and me! If I’m buying in (or credit line) for 20k or more NO WAY I lose $300! I’d for sure make one last bet for $325. Then $650 if needed. Then likely $1300 before I realized I should have left down $300…..

That's all new high limit, rather than an updated dining experience?
About a dozen tables, including double deck blackjack.
The concept is after the new high limit at Red Rock.
Quote: MDawgAlanMendelson was asking about the new High Limit at Red Rock. I got a chance to stop by.
My tables are in the back, all reserved, I can play double deck BJ or the shoe (I pick the former), or Baccarat.
They have some food laid out, a full bar, nice bright open space, and when I was there, at least three hot cocktail waitresses. You actually don't always see the prettiest cocktail waitresses in a casino's High Limit, but that day, there, I did.

Clocks go slow in a place of work
Minutes drag and the hours jerk
I've heard that Resorts World is charging now too, although I haven't verified. I didn't realize that RW even had enough traffic to justify paid parking.
Caesars, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, have been paid parking for a while.
All are free if you have a high enough level Player Card. Some of the casinos add a daily parking charge to the stay which, again, is free with a high enough Player Card.
T.I. usually has a guard who asks if you're staying in the hotel when you pull in, but doesn't verify anything.
So, it all depends on your perspective. One person might be happy with the way Vegas is today, another might not. I would say that some things have changed for the worse over the years, but some have also changed for the better, for example, ever since the top mega resorts opened the restaurant quality and variety has improved, but, and again we get back to experiencing Vegas on a high roller's comp, or paying for it out of pocket, the prices have gone up quite a lot too to where they are higher than say, Beverly Hills restaurants.
Everything costs more inside a casino, even I assume the McDonald's inside the Palms is more expensive than a McDonald's just a few miles away on the street. But the food at a lot of these casino restaurants (not McDonald's 😄) is top notch.
Also the shopping, Vegas used to have only ratty outdoor malls, and then the best it had was the Fashion Show Mall, now it has the highest end stores in Wynn, Bellagio, Caesars, Venetian plus the former Desert Passage (now Miracle Mile Shops) mall which is lower end but has something for tourists anyway.
Also the resort spas, salons and gyms have improved quite a lot.
The variety of things to do and see in Vegas have definitely increased over the years.
Friends who moved there pretty much ignore the strip.
As far as golf, when it's not too hot or cold and windy, the golf is of course great, but I don't consider Vegas courses to be anything special compared to many we have in southern California.
Quote: SOOPOOVegas also has nice year round golf courses. At both high and reasonable price points. And my favorite restaurant. Makino.

Quote: MDawgWell, it's the same sort of thing with having a swimming pool and almost never going into it. Or growing up oceanfront, and not going to the beach much after the initial attraction wears off. You look at the ocean every day, it's right outside your window, but don't go into the water much.

I have had a swimming pool for the last 10 years or so. I rarely use it but I still love it and likely my futures houses will still have one. For me it is aesthetic. It just looks nice when I am sitting on the patio.
Maybe don't get a swimming pool in a house you don't stay in all the time.

Swimming pools are one of those things where it's (almost) always better to have a best friend or family member that owns one. That way you get to use it but you don't have to worry about the upkeep. Kind of like boats. When I was a kid we had a neighbor that had a pool and they would let us use it every summer.

The pool is nice for entertaining. We will have 15 or 20 people over for a BBQ and swim. I would guess about half of the guests get in the pool. Three or four probably fell in after having too many drinks.
