OD,
I know because of the challenge people think I am suddenly some MDawg fanatic but I call it like I see it.
Years ago I searched for streaks at roulette. I witnessed plenty. Probably imo I missed about fifteen or twenty in a small six months period. They seemed to elude me (literally be right there on a board as I arrived and then never showed up when I took my wagers.
But I did catch at least two of 16 reds or black in a row and one that went an astounding 32 reds. And my fear it was going to end, I didn't press that high like I should have.
After I started my AP career(and no longer searched for streaks as it was a losing method for me) I had generated at one point a really lousy offer. Once a week a $75 freebet at the table. Literally after losing thousands this was no way I would be able to recoup.
So I threw a hail Mary. Every single direct bet I decided to let it ride until table max, grab my winning, and then continue IF I HIT A STREAK. Yes, it was a hail Mary.
First three weeks my vouchers returned zero. And in fact lost the very first wager.
But the fourth week I caught my streak on a color. I chickened out a bit and went in a slower progression to table max and kick myself now but it was still a 15 of a sixteen run at a roulette streak.
And yes, I memorialized it here (sans a few details of my AP at the time) https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/trip-reports/18987-caesars-ac-trip-report/
I made $3500 in half an hour at a $5 roulette table.
So, while MDawg makes fantastic seeming claims I also have witnessed and played into strange things at the casino.
Your opinion on this?
Thanks

However, the other casinos consider me "away" so I requested and already raised the lines again just in the past few days at two casinos, and will do the same for all of them soon. I won't play any harder, but will be better able to further negotiate what I negotiate with the even higher lines.
Quote: MDawgLast night as I left the high limit salon I stopped at a blackjack table that was pretty close to the salon exit. There was no dealer or pit boss I know there, I just stopped at it. I don't even know what possessed me to stop there.
The table was pretty full. A white guy was on third base, and to his left a black guy who was with him, clearly the two were together. I stood there maybe five seconds, looked down, and there it was, a five hundred dollar chip. I am not sure what directed the black guy to look down at close to the same moment, but he saw it too. I put my foot on the chip, leaned down and picked it up.
"Is this yours?"
"Yes."
"You swear?"
"Yes."
"All right, well, if I had lost that I'd want someone to return it to me." and I handed him the chip.
At that moment, I was leaving the floor with over thirty times that in winnings in my pocket, so I wasn't in any kind of chip hungry mood. I suppose what compelled me to give the guy the chip, was that I knew it wasn't mine, and no matter what, there was more of a chance that it belonged to him than to me. It just didn't occur to me to be sneaky about it and keep my foot over it and try to get it.
I went over the amusing incident with my wife, and we debated over whether the chip really belonged to him.
"Anyway, one thing it proves," she said finally, "is that you have a sixth sense for money. You said that you never have stopped by that table before, and you had no reason to be there, and yet there you were."
What ya' think? Was it his chip, or not? I only know - it wasn't my chip.

In the MDawg Challenge Meetup Write-up, you see MDawg doing something with an AP edge. Clearly you are down the rabbit-hole trying to figure what the AP is.
What I see in the report is a well banked ploppie session that almost doubled the buy-in. Something that is easy and likely to achieve if one has the brass neck to demo it. Had that shoe gone badly for him, he could have brought into play more and bigger markers and continued his ploppie play to a most likely successful and most likely profitable outcome. I do now accept that he probably* does have sufficient lines of credit to bankroll his high-roller play. He might even actually be a winning High roller. But I still seriously doubt it.
If he has some mysterious advantage play, which could be as simple as dealer ########## exploitation of a careless dealer* , then he really messed up in revealing it to the house, which surely follows this thread. Whatever he revealed to wizard is locked away, and not worth speculating on. I opine that Wizard would have been easily duped. He sure never said. " I saw how MDawg had quite a sneaky advantage, but I just cannot reveal it". Mike would have been suitably impresses with the simple $200 Marty strategy that he himself described, but which was a million miles from the challenge spirit. That is not to his credit in terms of judgement.
I see nothing really remarkable and I see no advantage play in play. It might have gone badly for MDawg, but I agree it didn't.
That you, DarkOz claim to have seen some 'remarkable' streak events and even profited from them, is not in doubt. But none of us is untouched by cognitive bias.
I have my own theories about MDawg and those theories evolve as more evidence creeps out.
Still looking forward to the day he honestly reports converting buy-ins of 8k, 20k, 20k, 50k and maybe another 100k before going to his suite to write up his trip report about how it wasn't his day.
Doubt it will happen though.

I didn't make myself clear enough. I was hoping to get the odds of 15 out of 16 at roulette which happened to me.
I don't think I have cognitive bias. As I said my search for a streak method of beating roulette led to losing plays. I don't deny that so don't see any bias.
The winning sessions with streaks were overcome by the losing ones without.
I'm just saying that to dismiss winning a streak at of all games, Baccarat, is not the right way to go.
I can easily see MDawg hitting a streak of wins.
His consistent winning is due to some other advantage

You're looking forward to the inevitable massive loss that wipes out all previous winnings...and then some?
That sounds like confirmation bias.
Are you hoping for it to happen?
Drew a 12K marker. Played 4.5 shoes. I had one pretty large bet don't even recall what it was, I won. Lots of 2000 - 3000 bets.
When I made that large bet I believe I was down a couple thousand. I was up as much as five thousand at the high point, down at least a thousand at some points, and on the last shoe, I kept hitting ties and this brought me to +3000 and at the dealer's urging to "not give it back," I left.
Relatively uneventful day.

Are you drawing bigger markers (12k versus 8k) because you are willing to risk more since you are up a bunch this trip? Or is it just to up the visibility to get better comps?
Earlier you mentioned that you can’t up your credit limit while on property. Why is that? Is there some sort of law or regulation that prevents a casino from doing so?
While on property, if a line is blown out, casinos do grant temporary credit line increases (called TTOs) but once the trip ends, or the line is paid down or paid off the TTO disappears. Typically a casino will grant a 25% TTO without much question. In general, I think TTOs are a bad idea. In the heat of play someone who has blown out his line will probably just lose quickly that additional 25%.
I don't always draw the same initial marker, anywhere from 12 - 30K. At the moment yes you could say that I am drawing larger markers because I am so far ahead, but also sometimes I draw larger markers because I keep getting these awesome shoes and winning "only" 5-15K on them, and realize that if I had more chips in front of me on such shoes I would feel more comfortable betting more.
It may work both ways though - having too many chips in front of you during a downward spiral may be a bad thing.

Convert too many chips to winnings, in any form, and the casino will close temporarily your credit line, which is why I just stockpile them until we leave.
1) ask you to leave (unilaterally, some casino resorts have no other option)
2) ask you to move to another suite (a "trick" which restarts the clock under some hotels' policies).
We ran into this the last time we were here, and have run / are running into it again now.
As far as the casino itself is concerned, which is not necessarily the same way the hotel views it - stay away for three days, and the clock resets (such as for the temporary closing of your credit line after cashing out all winning chips).
I am telling you, I have done this for so long, and in so many different ways, that I have learned all the rules, and all the angles for how to beat Vegas, in all respects.

These are similar rules to hotels in Los Angeles.
I know because when I was homeless at one point I had enough to work out a monthly deal with an LA hotel. I had to checkout every two or three months for a 24 hour period to reset the clock.
The irony that MDawg is basically dealing with homeless type of problems

Still, if I won enough on any of these trips to buy Ellis Island (I now know where it is - went past it the other day) or Arizona Charles (huh?) I certainly wouldn't complain.
I believe gaming, for some years now this regulation has been in place, doesn't allow a casino owner to play at his own casino. I think this reg was originally enacted to prevent a casino owner from skimming money from his own casino via purported play.
I actually played Baccarat with more than one casino owner at a casino other than the one owned by the player. You'd be surprised at how much such a person would bring to the tables to play with - not as much as you would think. Probably just there for the action, not to make a killing, which is pretty much the same way I play. I play to win but not for a living.

Been betting a little bigger lately, so I pulled a 15K marker to start. I moved between two tables, and was doing all right but not really getting anywhere. Other players kept following me - one was an Asian girl I recall from another casino, and I do recall that we played and won together in the past.
It was up and down though, as I played at a crowded table, and then, mostly just because I got tired of the lag between hands, I left to my own table. Big mistake. A ten Bank run landed right after I left, and that was based on my cut - I had cut that shoe. Sadly, I don't think any of the other players even won on the run, and soon two of them had followed me to the new table, where I gradually dumped the entire 15K.
I then pulled a 40K marker and decided to get serious.
It was still a bit of up and down, as a new player arrived with STACKS of freeplay chips, I mean I had never seen so many. This player eventually produced about forty thousand dollars worth. To get that kind of free play would require some whale or near whale play.
Mostly, that player just gradually converted most of the chips into real ones, winning about half of the hands wagered. These chips were of the "play one hand only - win or lose" variety, versus the "play until you lose" free play chips.
I dumped another ten grand, gradually, and then put 10K on one Player hand and won. After I won, the pit boss commented inanely, "We're going to have to get you the high roller's suite," which, I didn't bother to mention that we were already in it, or one of them, anyway. He knew that, he was just making a funny.
From there, I kept winning, got a 10 Player run, and then an easy pattern shoe, until I was ahead about fifteen hundred, and just quit.
There was some confusion as to where my markers were. The pit boss said they had already been transferred to the cage, but the cage said they didn't have them yet. Finally, I got hold of them, tore out the signatures, and walked.
+1500

The only reason the diamond isn't over a million or two, is because of the color. It is a VS1, but its color is pretty low on the scale. It is very well cut and set, and still sparkles incredibly, notwithstanding its color grade. This diamond, because it is what is known as a 3X (means it has an excellent cut, polish and finish), looks fantastic even though it is not anywhere near a top color.
It's in one of the stores in the casinos that sells at a decent price, versus some of the high end casino jewelry stores that sell for 10X wholesale.
"Buy this for your wife, and she will cook for you, she will do whatever you want." was the extent of the sales pitch. I mean, my wife already does everything for me would have been the only possible response, but I wasn't there for the salesperson's chit chat.
The ticker, pushing $400K, but the salesperson already has come down to half of that.
I have family in the diamond business and I can get nearly the same size diamond, exact same VS1, exact same color, wholesale, for about $150K. So, with the ring and all, which includes some channel sets (not worth a whole lot, but they do add something) and their diamond being a bit larger, I've offered $160K, contingent on seeing the grading cert. Supposed to let me know soon.
I haven't mentioned it to her. What's the point? unless it happens.

Well, never hurts to establish a rapport with the new owners.
But WAIT, then MDAWG would be winning money from himself, right ?
Yes and no. He would be winning from himself AND all the patrons losing there.
Maybe that means his winning amounts would be 97%, or thereabouts, coming from the losers! If we take away his suite costs, maybe he'd still be walking away with 90% of his winnings. So he'd probably be doing just as well as if he didn't own the casino!

Note: Lately, for security reasons, session reports are not necessarily presented in real time corresponding directly to the day played.
Won again, after a tough session! It's great, but I'm sure many here can't stand the talk! 😆
Quote: MDawgSo I have been thinking of doing something with the money I am ahead. To make it seem more real. I have been looking at this somewhat ridiculously large diamond ring for my wife. Not by any means in Sultan of Brunei territory, but quite a large diamond.

No, make it a surprise if it comes off. 😀

Here's a friendly formatting tip. When you quote MDawg, you can delete out the 13 or so paragraphs that are not pertinent to your comment.
I admit I am making the assumption that everything that MDawg says does not need to be repeated several times. But you do you.
