Where trolling comes into effect is where I ignore some people and they keep saying the same thing over and over. Trolling is mindless repetition without engagement.

Quote: Mission146Okay, I'm officially done with you.
Not only do I believe you are not posting to discuss this in a, "Good faith," way...now I do not even think your posts rise to the level of, "Good faith trolling," if there can even be said to be such a thing.
whatever 146. i could say that i'm genuine, but that means i need to accept the math theory, as applied to gambling, right? no other possible stance will do around here?
no such thing as genuine scientific enquiry? do you realise that attitude goes against the advancement of knowledge? history has shown that knowledge is advanced by enquiry, experimentation, and lateral thinking. furthermore, if you think i'm deliberately going against math theory, as applied to gambling, then you're mistaken. i'm not.
i deliberately question things when i think they don't compute. but, i'm not gonna stop anyone from thinking the way they do. call me a troll, if you want. i couldn't care less if people think i'm the most wrong person ever to visit WOV. what matters to me is the truth, not what others want me to think.
if people think that i need to post here, forget it. i know how things tick here. i wouldn't want to try and prise hardened math theorists away from their views.
so why do i post here? well, i believe that there are aspects to gambling that the theory doesn't cover. and the more i dive into this topic, the more i believe the theories are wrong. i could be suspended or nuked for such thinking. but i don't care. with what i know, it doesn't matter. i could go anywhere with what i've learnt about gambling over the last 12 months.
and suspending someone for scientific enquiry, are you serious? but if thinking like a pile of others here, is the only acceptable way forward, then i'm not going. if i'm convinced it is the way forward, then i'm happy to go that way. i doubt the math is right, though. we shall see, in time.

I guess I was suspended for 30 days here?? The one time I tried to sign on I couldn't. I've been so tied up with the business and the family, I never checked back till this morning and now I can only assume I served my 30-day suspension from what I found out the other day.
I was on a 10-day vacation in an extremely rural part of the country with the family and we made an agreement, no cell phones or internet service to the outside world. Then I went on a mandated week-long training for the company that involved recertification for firearms and making our new firearms program that we tried to implement last year and could never get it done. And then I had to take a quick 2 week multi-property tour and bring everyone up to date on our new program and procedures that we're doing and just got back to normal this morning.
Once again I'll catch up on everything in the next few days. It just floors me I was suspended for 30 days but it's all good. Good thing the suspension came when it did, gotta love the timing.
I love all of you guys here

I was up and then down twice, back to even once, and each time boomeranged rather quickly to around ten grand ahead. I played a number of shoes, often having them shuffle them up and start over before the end. Finally called it a day at +13700.
I am in the process of raising my lines to the point where, at least at three properties anyway, I will be able to play RESERVED, without the occasional unwelcome interruptions from other players. I don't plan to play any harder than I do, I just - want the privacy. I have currently figured out a way keep my tables non smoking and more or less private, but it's not the same. Might as well flex the clout where it will be useful.
As well, and this is after some deliberation, we're buying a place right off the Strip. I don't appreciate the ongoing relatively sizable HOA fees per month of the intended purchase, but, the size of the condo is bigger than the suites we are getting, and it will be secure and in a high rise. Will no longer have to haul stuff back and forth from home, and as long as I stay here over six months a year, the lack of state income tax for some of my activities will more than make up for the HOA fees. And that's that.
Forgive me if this is turns out to be the first and last time this move is mentioned. I'd rather keep the ones who have no name guessing.
Who knows, once we move here I may actually start playing less. I don't play at all at home.
Note: Lately, for security reasons, session reports are not necessarily presented in real time corresponding directly to the day played.
I'm willing to present a side Challenge. If anyone doubts that any one, just any one of the Session reports I present during this trip is not entirely accurate, throw down a red flag! Put up a mere ten grand in cash, let's work out how to verify the Session to your satisfaction using the Wizard as the judge, and winner takes the twenty thousand.
I'll contribute five hundred from my end for the Wizard's time if the Challenger will do the same, so that's a net $19,000. to the winner of this side Challenge.
This Side Challenge remains good for the duration of this particular Vegas trip.
How come no takers? Remember all the wonderful naysayers? Well do ya?
I would think, they would be standing in line to take you up on something like this!

This is the most cringe rent-a-cop crap I've ever read
LoL
But at least the host knew to avoid more slots, and most of this host's players are high end slots players!
You want to lose practically for sure in a casino - play slots!
Slot machines remain the most important money-making part of casinos in the United States. In many states, casinos make between 65 and 80 percent of their gambling income from slots.
"See, you would have had this."
"But - that wasn't my cut!" A pit boss had cut that shoe.
Meaning, that I would have cut the shoe, and who knows what would have happened.
Part of it has to be that I tip so much, but many of the dealers when I am talking to them tell me how much they want me to win. But then - no dealer really wants any player to lose, although, few players are "loved" (the word used by one of my hosts at another property, that host said, "I know the dealers all love you!") as much as MDawg.
Still, it is interesting because I get two kinds of feedback from dealers. Some try to kick me off the table once I am up sufficiently, to make sure I walk with a lot, a few try to get me to play more. I don't listen to any of them, although to be nice I might appear to do so. I do leave when I am ahead though, obviously - nearly all the time.
One dealer and pit boss the other day were saying though, how "rare" of a player I am, that I am both winning currently and a lifetime winner. But then that's the Adventures of MDawg. What kind of an adventure would it be if I were losing? What's the fun in that. There would be no further Adventures if there were no further fun.
Quote: MDawgOne of the last sessions I had the dealer wouldn't let me leave. Kept saying, you'll win more! I actually did win more by the end - but, along the way once I also dumped everything I was ahead and had to make a comeback. Then later I stopped by that high limit salon with my host, and the dealer showed me a long bank run.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this awesome strategy.
So far I have:
You must cut the shoe yourself.
Don't flat bet.
Play alone. People betting against you ruins things, even if they lose.
Don't let your "bad luck" buddy text you about stocks during a session.
Bet against streaks, and press when they are happening, but then stop betting the hand right before the streak stops.
Wear expensive jewelry.
Post everything that happens to the Wizard of Vegas Forum a few days after it happens.
I almost have this figured out! I'm gonna be RICH!
I'd say that the most lush landscaping in Vegas is around the Wynn/Encore. They really brought in some nice trees. When you sit waiting for a car in the Tower Suites area and the wind is blowing a little through the trees, you almost forget that you're in the middle of the desert. And then of course - the old Desert Inn golf course, with its lakes and waterfall.
Bellagio has some greenery too, but not quite on the level of Wynn/Encore. Maybe that was Wynn's trademark, because he had a number planted around the Mirage too.
Sprouts (used to be called Wild Oats but appears they have reverted to the name used for their stores in California) and Whole Foods are best. Sprouts offers pretty much the same quality as Whole Foods, at lower prices. Some more specialty gourmet foods are available only at Whole Foods.
Smiths (called Ralphs in California) - all of their stores from Henderson to Vegas that I have seen appear to be rather ghetto - guards at the door, the cosmetics section cordoned off, but, the food is comparable to Ralphs and I believe Smiths is over all higher end than Vons.

Isn't this a violation of Rule #7?
Wrong thread. The best grocery store answer probably should be in the "Best Grocery Store Thread". No?
I have rented thrice for associates during the past six months, from HOTWIRE and the rates came in around 42. a day for a Toyota Camry, but if it's a one way rental the price sky rockets and adds something like 80. more to the rate. Also it just depends on the city.
I just checked and in Vegas Hotwire will rent a car for 87. a day (95. for a midsized SUV). In the California city I just checked, the rate will be 41. to 45. a day for a midsized car, so the rate really depends on the city. These are current rates to rent a car the week of May 24, 2021. If your total rental exceeds $200., Hotwire currently offers a $20. off discount promotion.
These rates are all inclusive of tax.
Hotwire is always going to be the lowest, until something new comes along.
As long as you have your own car insurance, and a credit card that picks up the deductible (rental car insurance such as from VISA), there is no need to add any extras.

MDAWG! What are you playing at here? Is this some attempt to boost the ranking of your thread by wrapping other threads up into it?
But also, whenever I buy something for cash, I end up with some change. On this trip, it is rare that I buy anything for cash, but I do occasionally. On three occasions I've ended up with coins that add up to a dollar or more. After the coins accumulate sufficiently in the drawer by the side of the hotel suite bed, I take a dollar's worth of change, put it in my pocket, and exchange it for a paper dollar next time I am at the cage.
One Day 51's session where I won +13700, the actual total was +13775. I converted the 75 into ten ones and thirteen fives. (I gave the cashier one of the fives as a tip...based on the 13K+ win.) I had a dollar's worth of change in my pocket that I had placed there before going down to play, but forgot to turn it in.
Later, while waiting for a take out food order, I went back to the cage. There was a line of a few people. I waited, and handed over the exact change, which included five pennies 😆 and got the dollar. What, so you mean MDawg stood in line to get a dollar, and that's all he did at the cage window, nothing else? Hellll yes. I'd brought that change down there for a reason and I wasn't going to put it off to the next day. A dollar is still a dollar.
Business is business. Come on. You're talking $1,500 here.

Not playing anything, my advice is generally posted only in my threads.
Obviously, I can't be guilty of hijacking my own thread!
Hotwire is definitely the way to go for car rental. We rented a car in Vegas from Hotwire that one trip where we accumulated so much stuff we needed a van to cart it back.

Now if you saw some of the girls walking around the casinos right now though, you'd forget all about those cheerleaders. It'd be a straight diahhk move to take pics of any, but I've talked to more than a few. Somehow when you're high rolling it makes you bold, and anyway, in a Vegas casino what are these girls there for anyway, other than to find something to do. I'm not pursuing them, my wife is hotter than any of them, but it's just fun to kick back and talk in the warm afterglow of Victory. Even as cheesy a line as, "Heyy! what are you girls up to," seems to always elicit a positive response.
Wizard and I should hang out on the casino floor after my sessions. I'll break the ice, and he may hire the girls to appear on his next streamed sequence for the benefit of all WOV members.

Wasn't down more than a few K at the worst, and it was pretty much a slow and steady climb up. One thing that happened that has never happened to me before as far as I may recall is that - I WON four ties in a row, for 100, 150, 200, 300. The tie hit, and I bet it as a repeater, hit! again. Played it again, hit! Played it again, hit! Played it again, hit! I have seen four or five ties in a row before, but to actually HIT 4/5 ties in a row is pretty remarkable, especially given that I don't play the tie all that often.
Ended +10500.

A Wellbush post I can appreciate! A decade ago I was roaming around the Rio, it might have been with the Wiz, and I saw 4 drop dead gorgeous 21ish year olds dressed in a way that said .... me. I thought they must have been working girls, and I believe Mike said they weren’t. I went up to them and started yapping, and it turned out they were here to celebrate one of their birthdays (21). I offered to let them take a picture with me, a ‘real doctor’, and they jumped on the chance. If my wife didn’t delete the picture I’d share it with you all....
Quote: Wellbushwelcome back marcus. nice to have you back. i thought you were a bit harshly treated. anyway, you're back now😊
Like my first post said, I attempted to sign on once and that's when I learned I was suspended the second time I signed on I was back from training, recertification, becoming a certified Firearms instructor and 10 days out in the wilderness with my family with no cell phone or internet service. I served my suspension for 30 days not knowing about it without ever signing on and attempting on about 20th of day of it is what I gather.
Remember I'm in the security industry we're generally harshly treated as a norm anyway. It's all good.

Any kind of surreptitious "taking pics of girls" just seems not right to me. If they want to pose with you, fine, but taking pics or video without permission isn't the thing to do.
Obviously the moment when one is walking up to talk to them would be prior to obtaining permission.
MDawg was like a thirsty pioneer armed with a divining rod - wherever I went was where the chips were flowing like from a mountain spring. My usual table was occupied, and that area of the casino was just too busy. Went to another section, where it was again too busy. Decide to take a stroll (no victory yet, hadn't even played) on the Strip and entered a different casino, played a few shoes, walked with an easy four grand and change.
Went back to the original casino, crowds gone, took over my own table, started winning slowly but steadily. A Martingale on Bank player arrived and lost handily as kept going against short player runs - this one started with a thousand and doubled from there, but was willing to go no deeper than six thousand before he gave up (1000, 2000, 4000, 6000). The Martingaler dumped about fifteen K, and left.
I cut an awesome shoe that started running on the Bank, other than on select hands where I knew (but no one else could have) that Player was favored, and I cleaned up, barely betting, but teh Martingaler returned and finally caught the same Bank run I did towards the end, and left the table +30000, which meant a 45000 run for that one.
I left +15000, making it a cool +19000 (and change) for the day.
While walking around in the casino I found a two cent slots ticket, and cashed that out too 😛 along with everything else. That's an extra .02 boys.

Put it this way, I probably wouldn't have bothered were it not comp'ed.
There is a sort of conspiracy theory out there that the reason many restaurant items are so outrageously priced in Vegas casinos is to make those of us on a full comp feel like we are really getting something for our play.
Quote: MDawgI'm young, and she's very young. What's age anyway, but a number.
I tried that line on an older woman when I was sixteen.
The conversation went like this.
Me: "Age is just a number."
Her: "Well, kid, you got the wrong number!"
My theory of why food and drinks are so expensive at bars/restaurants yet drinks are free at the tables: they want you at the tablesQuote: MDawg
