there is a weird texas holdem bonus table at my local poker club. Instead of betting 2x amount before flop you always can bet only 1x everything else is same. Ante is paid at straight or better. Does this give player advantage? I deal it for 2 weeks and there are some players who i think are beating it. I need some statistics thank you.

Now I have to fire up my THB database and reprogram a little bit but I would guess that because the ante bet is not blindly doubled, the hands with which you surrender would disappear. I'll report my findings in a couple of hours.

I also think hands that are slightly ev- can now be even or ev+ no?

To answer that question, I'd have to run a much deeper calculation that would take many days if not months. If there is a real change in expected win playing a very basic strategy, it should present itself somewhat quickly.

Cant you for example run it with one semi hand like j7 and compare it to results of basic thb? Im not familiar with what r u doing right now so its just a quess

My database is a mess. It's been awhile since I deconstructed THB and I've been recycling the code in there for other variants. I have no idea what some of these stats mean that are in there now. I'm curious though about the benefit for the player if they don't have to bet as much on the flop so I'll crunch numbers. I have to clean all my data up first.
