The owners of Whiskey Pete's have announced it will remain closed for at least two more years. The state approved a two-year extension of its current suspension, allowing them to double the slots in the still-open travel center nearby.
The owners hope that future area growth and an expansion of a nearby airport will change the economy enough to justify having three casinos in the Primm market.

In the preview of this thread, it just says,"Whiskey's Pete To Stay," and I immediately thought it was going to be,"Open." And I was going to gloat about how my prediction that Whiskey's Pete would be just fine came true, and I clicked on the thread to see that the next word is ,"Shuttered," followed by closed for at least two more years. This does NOT look good for Whiskey's Pete and Whiskey's Pete just might not end up being just fine like I originally predicted when they FIRST had been closed for only about two days. 🤐😵💫

Whiskey Pete asked me to assure you he will be just fine. He is in discussions with a movie producer and a TV exec about using his facilities for filming while he waits for the airport to be built. Both Buffalo Bills and WP were recently used in a Showtime series, and he enjoys his TikTok fame.

Ray Donavon was the Showtime series filmed at Buffalo Bill's with some shots were done at Whiskey Pete's.
