Posted on the craps table bet sign it says "No Dice Setting"

The dealers watch this carefully. It's pick em up and throw em.

The stick will sometimes return the dice to the shooter as they landed.

Their $5 chips are pink.

Great rule. I wish all Vegas casinos had it

Or at least make a 5 second "shot clock". If you don't roll within five seconds, your turn is over.

Anyone who knows what they're doing can set dice in two seconds.

At Wendover the dice were often returned to me pre set or needing one die to be turned one or two faces.

What takes more time is the shakers and the rattlers and the speech makers and the crazy crappers throwing in their late hop and hardway bets. They are the ones who slow down games.

What is “knowing what they’re doing” setting the dice even supposed to mean?

My 'favorites' are the felt petters, followed closely by the guys who take 15 seconds to get the precise, exact set they want, and then fling the dice so hard they hit the back wall on the fly!

It's simple to set dice. All you need to know is the opposite faces total seven.

How many face changes do you think it needs to create any combination on two dice?

It takes two seconds. Okay... three seconds with arthritis.
