When I was in Paris in 2018, I tried really hard to find a casino and do a casino review. It wasn't easy between not speaking the language and about 100 convenience stores in Paris titled "Casino." I never did find one. I'm still not sure if there was one to find.

Fast forward to 2022 and they were not difficult to find. They were small and didn't advertise much, but there is one right on the Champs Elysees.

Casino is the name of a French supermarket chain. They are in many of the French territories too. I go to one daily when I am in St. Martin.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

In New Jersey, there are lots of amusement type places called casino, particularly along the shore, well outside of Atlantic City.

Most famous is Casino Pier in Seaside Heights.

There was a place in the next town called The Garden City Casino. It was very mysterious, members only and had a huge sign saying no one under 18 admitted. The whole block was surrounded by a very tall privacy fence and it intrigued me no end. It turned out to be a private tennis club.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.
