Interesting he says hopping hard 6 pays 32:1 instead of 31:1 that most places pay.
Um, what?Quote:A worker started to tip off the casino's security. Bridges, Young and the third man collected their winnings and walked out the casino leaving their chips on the table, Block said.
They collected the winnings AND left the chips on the table???
You're right. It doesn't make sense. Especially when the lede of the story says the judge ordered the three to return their ill-gotten gains.Quote: DJTeddyBearUm, what?

I envision it as follows: the team are at the table, with active bets on the felt.
They note that the crew is talking about them, and/or doing something that tips them off that they've been "made."
In response, they immediately and quickly scoop their chips from the rail, and leave ASAP.
They'd leave the money on the felt in order to beat the hastiest retreat possible.

Yea i was thinking the same thing. Its interesting that one man got away and they still dont know who it is
Why is this a crime as opposed to card counting or edge sorting where the casino can just prohibit you from playing at their casino and not pay you? This dice sliding appears to be a punishable by law crime stating 5 years probation - felony gambling crime. How does this differ from card counting and edge sorting? Why dont they just ask them to leave and not come back ?
Quote: WatchMeWinI have played a ton of craps the past 20 years... Ive never seen dice slide like that across the table...lol That guy was good! How many times did he do that before they finally notice? It would be pretty clear to see what the guy did after the first time.... why didnt they spot it when it was first done, unless one of the box people were in on it?

Card counting and edge sorting doesn't change the future outcome of the game. Dice sliding does. I'm surprised they didn't get jail time.
I saw this online elsewhere and they showed what looked like 1 throw of the dice... From that very short video of 1 throw the guy appeared to "wing" the dice down the table in no sliding fashion what-so-ever. I want to see the video, though if gaming convicted them I'd more than imagine they were doing it illegally, but would just like to see it with my own eyes what they consider "sliding" because I don't get how this happens more than 1 or two throws. The box/floor/dealers would ALL yell at the shooter the first time it happens and call NO ROLL if he did it again.Quote: tringlomaneCard counting and edge sorting doesn't change the future outcome of the game. Two other players attempt to distract the crew at the moment the shooter slides the dice, so that the crew does not actually observe the movement of the dice.
see: generick dice sliding video
Got to follow procedures rather than run after the fleeing culprits.
Bad crew.
Seems to me that dice setting is little different than dice sliding: arrest those bone arrangers!
Maybe they just don't know that the dice are supposed to hit the pyramids.Quote: MrVSure, if the box or dealers SAW it, they'd say something; that's why a team is used.
