Anybody here go to Charles Town recently? I am curious what the conditions in general are like (table min, variety)
Specifically what are the craps mins like and the odds.
Thanks,

I got a plan, we take all your picks we reverse them like one of those twilight zone episodes where everything is the opposite. You say "black" we go white.

Weekdays, 1 table 345 odds, $10 min. Haven't been there on 6 months or so. I don't see it changing. 2nd table on weekdays didn't open until noon or 1.

Weekend will generally have 1 $10 table and 3 $25 tables. Some tables have 345x and others have 2.5x (you can put $25 odds on $10 flat for 6/8)
Originally they only had 2.5x and added 345x after Maryland Live! opened. For some reason they have not switched all tables...

Anybody know if they have shoot to win crap or any other organic craps? What is the VP situation like?

Haven't been there in a year, but I recall the VP being really, really, really bad. Very limited amount and best pay table was around 97% if I remember, most 94% to 96%.

check back after the MGM National Harbor casino opens in about 6 wks - they are now accepting hotel reservations for Dec 10th I believe.
The impact on Charles Town should be dramatic

That's what I had believed Maryland Live! and Horseshoe Baltimore would do, but doesn't seem to have changed anything there strangely.

Huge difference. Both require you to deal with the BW Parkway, the drive from the beltway can take an hour during bad times (of which there are many). This casino will be a 20m drive for some of the wealthiest parts of Nova; a quick hop on 495 for everyone up through Bethesda. I believe this casino will shatter records.

I agree, Northern VA has to be the reason for CT's existence, practically, or I would be shocked.
Having said that, greed can take hold of a casino and the grasp can last a long time, we all know that. We shall see.

Just an update. I did go on Monday. Was there from 9 AM to around 3 PM. All BJ was 3:2 with good rules. The min was $15 at all BJ tables. Craps was indeed 3-4-5 with 10 min. No side bets. I didn't even see any VP machines.
I liked the style of the casino. However as a low roller 15 is bit outside my comfort zone.

I was at Charles Town this morning (Tuesday). Arrived about 10AM got a players card with $15 of free play, found an 8/5 Jack's or Better and turned it into $16.50. Ok... headed to the BJ tables, all pay 3 to 2. Surprising to me on a Tuesday morning they were all $25. There was a $15 BJ and 3 card poker table on which you could "just play blackjack". Although $25 is a bit rich for me, I opted for that with people I hoped who were there to play blackjack. For the most part I was correct in that those sitting there were pretty solid blackjack players and rarely played the lucky ladies side bet. I played for about 1.5 hours and chalked up a small win. The regular dealer was great, quick, knowledgeable and accurate. The relief dealer was awful, slow, never quite sure what to do, the pit had to help him a few times. Ughh! Thankfully he was only there for 20 minutes.
Didn't play craps, but it was $10 min with 3,4,5 odds.
My wife enjoyed the slot selection and enjoyed here time playing. We enjoyed the space and the casino "feel". We didn't have time to spend all day there but we did enjoy the time we did have. Of note, by the time we left they had opened a couple of $15 BJ tables. Interesting that when it is slow they just have the higher limit tables.
