I went to play VP, pulled up JOB and noticed it was 6/5. OK no big deal, they have always had 6/5 but there was always 2 machines or more in each bank at 8/5. I looked at about 40 machines and nor a single 8/5 to be found. I know 8/5 sucks to but that was the best we get in this area and it still beats the slots payback.
Ok, whatever, I will just play 6/5/4 bonus poker at 97%. Pull it up and.....you guessed it, it was changed to. 2 pair are now only 1 credit. WTF, 2 pair 1 credit. Wizards calculator put this at 94%.
The best VP now is aces and faces at 96%.
I was a little sad so I figured I would play $5 bj. They only $5 game was on a csm. they always had a $5 shoe game. Now all they had was $10. OK fine I will just play craps with my $80. They have 3 tables open and only a few people at each. I walk over and they are all $10.
I used to like this place because they treated low rollers good. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I don't know if there is new management or what but we are officially separated.

Back end of the smoking section, the Game King multi-games near the back wall, not the ones ON the back wall, the ones that face away from the back wall while being nearest to the back wall. If you're facing the machines from the back corner of smoking, it wouldn't be the first bank to your right, it would be the second (The first bank is all Keno, with the Progressives). There are five machines in the bank, the two machines on the end (call them 1 & 5) have 6/5 Jacks, but the middle three machines still have 8/5 Jacks.
You can get 9/5 if you want to play in HL at $5.00/denomination. I don't!
Also, one of the Quick Quads in HL pays north of 98%, but I forget what game. Of course, your smallest bet is $18 total, so I've never played it!
Finally, you can get 9/5 Jacks at Wheeling Island, if you're so inclined, and a couple other 98%+ paytables on the Spielo GTECH machines, upon which $0.25 is both the minimum and maximum denomination, and is single-handed. Every VP game there is single-handed, whole place.

Good. Stay the $%&*^^( away from my Ultimate X machines!!! j/k
EDIT:
Quote:Stuff about Blackjack and Craps
Today is Saturday, don't forget.
Quote: GWAEMission you can have them. I have $100 on me today and that was all. There were tons of multipliers and I lost $22.
I hope you don't mind the partial edit of your post.
In any case, a negative result does not a negative expectation make. I think that's especially true with vulturing, I think, especially when you find a good many opportunities...What I mean is, when you vulture three-handed games, it's USUALLY one 2x or 3x multiplier, you know, something that someone knows they probably shouldn't leave behind, but they don't care that much. Five-Handed is the same thing, one or two low multipliers. Ten-Handed is typically 1-4 low multipliers or one good one.
Most of the time, it seems like...say in ten opportunities (and the denominations can vary, which REALLY swings it)...that you're going to need to be dealt some kind of winning hand at least twice, or hit something on a good multiplier to come out ahead. I would say that, in a typical vulturing session, just in pure profit/loss, I have almost as many losing visits as I do profitable ones, it's just that you profit more on the profitable ones than you lose on the losing ones.
Quote: HunterhillYou can get 9/6 jacks at rivers on one machine. At 50cents or at $1.
If they would just have $5 shoe bj I would never drive to Meadows again. Not that I have money to gamble anymore, so I guess it really doesn't matter.

Spin Poker, but you can play single-line, is that not the case? I've never played it, but I think I've read about that on here. The only time I go to that rancid pile of $^$^* Rivers is if I am already nearby and that's just to check UX.

Wait...
Hold on...
If RIVERS, the casino on the North Shore in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania had $5 shoe BJ...
If...
If I could find the high-limit machine at Meadows loaded with 12x multipliers on UX on all four games at the $5/denomination every day of my life, visiting three times a day, every visit, I'd be rich in fairly short order.
I have a better chance of that happening than you do finding $5 shoe BJ at Rivers.
Rivers Casino, home of the $15 Craps game at 3:00a.m. on a Sunday (technically Monday).
Rivers Casino, the house who demands high-limit action for a player's very existence to even be minimally acknowledged, while at the same time is too cowardly to offer UX at greater than the $0.25 denomination.
Quote: HunterhillIt's on a quick quads machine. But you can play 5 coins instead of 6 and just play regular job if you don't know Quick Quads strategy.
Cool, great tip!

Just take all the fun out of the game...lol
They don't offer 9/6 DDB w/QQ do they? That's technically higher payback. Thank god I knew that when I hit 4 Aces twice at Ellis Island. lol

When I read Hunters my first thought was you. I posted a Royal a few months back on that machine and you were not happy that I was playing a QQ machine for 5 credits.
I can't remember but i think not. This was about 4months ago so don't know if it's changed.Quote: tringlomaneJust take all the fun out of the game...lol

Tip to others: You can always not pay for the bonus feature to be enabled and get a plain game.
This is not the first time I've heard of the best paytable available being on a non-plain machine, and there are certainly times I don't feel like playing the bonus game.

Haha...I remember that.
It's more fun and adds 0.42% to 8/5 Jacks...what's not to love? :P Babs REALLY loves the game though...lol

Yep. Most fun VP out there IMO.

QQ is definitely my favorite vp. While I am complaining about the Meadows. The only QQ games they have are triple play, 5 play, and I think even 10 play For quarters and higher. I can't swing 18 credits per play.
Quote: teddys!QUICK QUADS!
Slightly OT, if you are dealt a QQ hand say:
333A2
Does the machine say !QUICK QUADS! automatically, or do you have to hold and draw to hear the !QUICK QUADS!?

If I remember correctly, it yells it out before the hold.
Although I like the game, I haven't played it much in the casino. This is my only dealt QQ, iirc.

It will say QQ but it does not auto hold. There was one that I may have missed if it didn't yell at me first.
Quote: onenickelmiracleWell sounds disappointing they took such drastic measures with the video poker. Maybe they'll revert back.
A while back they were supposedly sold to the owners of Hollywood Casino. From what a pit critter told me, that deal fell through. I am wondering if they are just trying to squeeze every penny to make their bottom line a little better in order to get another sale.
