The Bicycle Hotel and Casino is a large card room located in Bell Gardens California. They offer poker and a variety of "California" table games. They completed a $50 million dollar remodel and expansion in December of 2015. According to news sources they have 185 tables and are one of the largest casinos in California.
Early yesterday morning, they were shut down by the Feds. Agents entered the card room, ordered everyone to keep their hands visible, pick up their chips, cash out and leave the premises. They they proceeded to load up boxes of financial records and cart them away. Preliminary reports are that a financial fraud investigation is going on, involving laundered money. After a 20 hour shut down, the casino reopened this morning.
The "Bike" is familiar with financial fraud charges, as they were shut down back in the 90's for the same thing. The investigation back then uncovered $22 million in drug money from Florida smugglers being used to finance construction. The Federal government seized the smuggler's share of the ownership, and ran the casino for a pretty long time before selling their stake to a British concern after the dust settled. Maybe they want back in?

Heck,,, its ALWAYS been corrupt. The 'owners' don't make any money, never did. Its the Banking Syndicate that makes the money, the owners only get "chair rent" from the players. The dealers are often actors making good money at a job that suits their audition schedule. Been laundering drug money for decades. Even doing it when the US Marshall was a part owner. It never really stopped. City of Commerce and City of Industry? City of money laudering.
Hawain Gardens (enclave entirely surrounded by Los Angeles but legally its own 'city') has a Bingo Club ... been a funnel for money to Israeli radicals for decades...and none of that 'tax money' has ever really gone to the City of Hawian Gardens... they only got something like four blocks of roads. How much in taxes do you need to pave four blocks that never get paved at all?

Just last year there was a big money laundering case filed against Hawaiian Gardens.

At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.
