Quote: Yokeohthat is correct both barona and sycuan deal the cards face up or else i wouldn't be able to figure out how to set the dice. I just stick to as close a seven-set as i can get.
You're going to have to explain? Are you a darkside or right way player and what set would you use if the die-6 is a card-4 and so forth?

Are the cards revealed before the bets are locked? How do "hardways" work?

If the dice land on 6-6, then the 6th card is used (twice). ie:
Die # : Card #
1: 5
2: 3
3: 6
4: 1
5: 2
6: 4
If I roll a 1-1 (dice show 1-1), then the #1 card is used twice for a hard-ten (5-5). If I roll a 5-6 (dice show 5-6) then those cards are used and the actual result is a 2-4 (easy 6). And so forth.
Some places reveal before dice are thrown, others don't. I remember barona did when I played there years ago. Don't know about now. At Barona, when I played there, they'd shuffle the 6 cards, put them face-up, and put them into their positions, and the cards would stay in that position as long as the same shooter had the dice. Once he sevened out, they'd shuffle the cards and put them in a different position.

I'm a right-way player. I try to get a dice set 7. I have to see what the 4/3 6/1 or 2/5 card is in what dice slot on the table and set the dice accordingly. I base on the hope that a throw with the dice rolling a few rolls should not end up back on that set

Barona changed their protocol last summer maybe June or July IIRC. Now they shuffle the cards (using an automatic shuffler) every roll. They have two sets of cards so one is always ready to be laid out. Sycuan and Viejas still only shuffle the cards after a shooter sevens out. Many regular Barona players have stopped playing there and now play at other casinos. My experience is that shuffling every roll has increased the volatility - my losses went up pretty dramatically after the change.

Sorry I don't understand your question.
Quote: Hoben01Back at barona since I cannot afford the pechanga craps at $10 minimum. Since I saw the sharpshooter and firebet at the table had to try it for my ego. so managed to get four points so I won the sharpshooter bet the only other player took the firebet and got that becuz it turned out each point was different. Pit boss moved from back of the table down to the other end to watch the dice. They didn't care since being the of us were not betting up a storm. Although I hit the hard ways a few times and he was pressing chips.
Do they shuffle the cards and reveal them before every roll, or is the procedure different?
I don't remember now. I was probably referring to the card craps counting or whatever you call it.Quote: PBguySorry I don't understand your question.

The game used to be countable when it was just cards from a shoe, but the procedure was changed.

Yep they still do this same procedure.
So the craps table has drastically changed at barona
