Most hotels and casinos would smell of French fries and male urine but for the air change and scent injection systems. Micro drops are best. Fig oil is one of the best.

Every casino in the Marina district when I first went to Atlantic City had a fragrance. Harrah's was Tahitian sunset/cherry/pineapple/vanilla and I just loved it. Made me feel great and in a good mood.

Golden Nugget was like male cologne, kind of spicy and sweet. It was nice, felt welcoming.

Borgata, I realm am having a hard time remembering.

In 2013, when I returned, couldn't notice any fragrances anywhere. The casinos wouldn't comment about it with a good answer. My suspicions are there was some kind of regulatory actions, lawsuit, that stopped the fragrances. It is also possible the casinos thought the costs weren't worth it, or business wasn't improved enough to justify the expense. I really loved the Harrah's scent, and wouldn't be shocked to hear it negatively affected revenues since they say people spend more money when they're not comfortable.

Harrah's always has a nice vibe for me. Disappointed most of their low rolling slots are gone though. Need those to kill time when I get near broke the first night.
I am a robot.

When I toured the Vegas casinos a few years ago, the one that I thought had the best scent was Mandalay Bay. I recall it being a persistently overpowering dose of pleasantness. I have no idea what the actual scent was, and I don't think any of the other MGM properties (or non-MGM properties, for that matter) had the exact same scent. Can anybody identify it?

On the flipside, the casino that I thought had the most nauseating scent was the Venetian.

People's perceptions do change but the fact remains: French Fries and male Urine or else do something!

All HVAC professionals know there are masking systems and treating systems galore. Sometimes professionals get things very, very wrong such as the Canadian Medical Office Building whose air intake was a few feet downwind of the multi-story underground garage's air discharge vent. A court ruled there was no need for a professional to render an opinion, a layman would understand that it was grossly wrong.

You can add in such things as casinos, hookers, hope, sweat and tears, the scent of money and the scent of despair, but you still get French Fries and male urine plus or minus various perfumes or treatments or giant fans. That is all there is.

Industry consultants are always taking studies and opinion surveys but the results are always contradictory. So if you notice a scent and enjoy it; fine. If you don't even notice..that is fine too.
