Welcome to the East Coast, Shack! (:
...Who knew. The Wizard is apparently a comcast fan.
Quote: Romeslol wow. Looks like the casinos want to confuse the wizard of odds with one of their henchmen. I would imagine there's some kind of copy right or trademark violations here?

Wow is right! What the hell?
I don't follow AC news very much.
Are the reviews accurate, authentic? Or dated?
Or nonsense? They talking about "The Wiz"?
The more I read, the less I desire
To visit AC. That makes me sad,
Never been there.
Total rewards offered to fly me up there
And comp me a long weekend,
a year or so ago.
Now I wish I had gone.
Probably best I didn't.....
I haven't lost any money there.
Quote: 1BBI started a thread titled Wizard of Odds - Atlantic City Version on August 21, 2010. It was in TV Atlantic Magazine back then. I think it's the same publication with a different name. It's available for free on the Boardwalk. I'm not sure if it's been determined which Wizard came first.
I note that "our" Wiz uses a copyright emblem: one would assume that MS registered "Wizard of Odds" as a trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Any opinions on the reviews listed?
I may get there yet,
And the Ceasers properties did OK in reviews
And If I go, it will probably be courtesy of them.

It's usually all fluff with this guy. There's never anything substantial to do with actual gambling. The guy definitely doesn't do any heavy lifting.

Did he insult me?
Quote: TwoFeathersATLDid he insult me?
Three days off for 1BB, 3 days on the suspension list, would be hilarious!
He'd have to wait three days to comment, he might have a tizzy...
But not deserved for posting about me.
To be reciprocal, 1BB can insult me anytime, anywhere.
It's only fair.
Quote: TwoFeathersATLDid he insult me?
I took it as 1BB referring to the "fake" Wizard whom posts stuff about places to eat, and nothing to do with actual gambling/numbers.

But I gotta ask, "heavy lifting"?
Were you referring to my contribution to the Forum(s)?
Or were you talking about my gambling?
It makes a difference in how I process your remark.
Quote: TwoFeathersATLDid he insult me?
There you go again. I was talking about the Wizard of Odds in Atlantic City. I wasn't talking about you. I do not insult anyone ever on an anonymous forum. That's not me. It's not always about you. I will not be suspended for this no matter who you tell. Others have tried and failed to get me suspended. Life goes on. Deal with it.

Thank you, Romes.

The reference seems clear and unambiguous to me; 1BB is referring to the Atlantic City personality, not you, 2F.
Wow Talk about a guilty conscience. Is that how you feel about yourself? Wow it was so, so obviously who he was talking about. Only someone parinod would think that.Quote: TwoFeathersATLThree days off for 1BB, 3 days on the suspension list, would be hilarious!

I would certainly hate to be your partner in crime. I imagine anytime someone looked at you. You would be whispering,"he knows, he knows, were busted, quick get rid of the evidence, run.

Quote: Zcore13Not only is the guy stealing Mike's name but he's doing it for no reason. He doesn't even present odds in his story. I bet he couldn't figure out a House Advantage if you let him watch a video first. Go get'em Mike!

Yeah, I think there's a lawsuit wanting to be filed (assuming there's a copyright infringement/trademark violation). Can't see Mike putting up with this guy shilling for AC casinos using his good name. But since 1BB says the guy's been around a while, maybe Mike's aware of him and we just don't know what, if anything's being done in that direction.

We were in Resorts 6 months ago, it is a dump compared to Borgata. It is old and smoky.

Didn't Mike sell all the rights to the WoO name?
Somebody else owns it now.

A few times a year my wife and I attend Patriots games with some friends. One friend informed us that he could no longer attend. When I asked him why he said it was because watching the huddles made him nervous. You see, he was sure that those guys in that circle were all talking about him. :-)
Check out the thread on the the AC Wizard that I started five years ago. Our Wizard was made aware of it back then.
Quote: mipletYou mean this one?
Yes indeed! Thank you, miplet! That was me back in the old days when, in many ways, things were a lot simpler here.
As you can see from the link I will be celebrating my five year anniversary as a member of this forum on Monday. Where has the time gone?

Why do you get 2 user names? You have been here
5 days longer than me, but I have a slight edge
in posts. Like it matters...

I swear that some here are obsessed with post count but not me and I don't think you are either. When I have something to say I say it. It's that simple.
I certainly don't want 2 user names. One day I couldn't log in and for three weeks tried everything. I followed all the directions, sent all the emails and asked anyone who would listen to help me. Ask me how that worked out.
I have never tried to log back into the first account and assume that it is inactive. I'm far from the only one here with more than one user name although I don't know the circumstances of any the others. You can read my first five posts as 1BB. They deal with this.
Any greens out there want to fix this and consolidate both accounts? Take your time, it's only been 3 years and 9 months!
I noticed that 2F was concerned about my post count. He mentioned my occasional double posts a few times. I don't know why or how it does that. I notice it happens when the site is lagging badly. Mabey I hit the send button 2 time's thinking I missed it the first time, since nothing happens.Quote: 1BBI swear that some here are obsessed with post count but not me and I don't think you are either. I don't care about number of posts. Like Bob, I also have tons of threads blocked. If I wanted to, I believe I could certainly reach the top of the list. And keep it gaming and Las Vegas related, especially since I live in LV and frequent casinos. It would probably be easy If I posted new threads with casino pictures, trip reports, news stories etc etc.
I have been a passenger traveling for 12+ hour's (GF has to stop often) over the last few days I certainly could've belted our 20x more than my usual number of posts.
Never was it my intentions to have so many posts. I would certainly hate to be the number one forum poster.

Why do you have to disrespect EvenBob like that so much? His life isnt that bad.
Before anyone gets upset, its a JOKE!

If the connection is bad and it's taking forever to "post" your post sometimes people hit then"post" button a few times before the page switches back to the thread, and this can cause it to submit more than one post.
I have this problem a lot on forums when in places with cruddy Internet. Or sometimes on my phone if I might run against the "post button" (touchscreen) a few times without realizing it.

Hey Axel! I like your posts, almost always. You're one of the many Gurus here, and I have a bunch of respect for you all. Was just messin' widja, 'twas a joke.
Quote: IbeatyouracesTake the hostilities to Norm's site. They like to fight over trivial things there. So much so, I wonder how much time any of them actually spend in a casino.
Oh, you mean there's better things to do with my time than read through and debate another 100 page thread about which count is best? Lol

Yes, if you hit send twice when it's lagging you'll usually double post as Gandler mentioned. Once I realized this, I've avoided hitting "send" again.
There is someone worth reading in the latest issue. I believe some here are familiar with John Grochowski. His columns have been appearing for some time. I'm not sure if he's syndicated or if he writes these particular pieces exclusively for them. He has two columns in this latest issue, one of which deals with the proposed lowering of the $1200 threshold for W-2Gs on slot wins. Good stuff.
