It's not as crazy as you may think, the next generation of the greatest generation are a bunch of wussies that are afraid to die and will pay anything to avoid the inevitable. His customer base will be growing for years.

A long and interesting article... Straub certainly seems eccentric and likes to talk about whatever's on his mind, but no doubt he knows his real estate.

So far-- he bought the Revel (and Showboat), is re-working the stuff with the tenants and power company, and looking to invest even more in A.C. at a time when apparently no one else is.

People should be cheering for him.

Don Laughlin of Laughlin Riverside Casino and Laughlin, NV is planning on being frozen.

Probably a +EV bet. If it works you win. If it doesn't you are already dead.

I don't even know where to start. I'm all for alternative medicine but this is just crazy. When you start talking blood transfusions you enter a whole other dimension. I can handle the cryogenic shit, the vitamins, the O2 bars, etc. but when you promote transfusions especially administered by those who "might not be a doctor or clinician" it sets the stage for catastrophic adverse events. But people will do it, especially when touted by the PT Barnum of the decade. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a room with windows putting those "patients' on display for all to see on the boardwalk, kind of like a side show.....and charge to watch...

They used to put freaks and fetuses on display in windows on Boardwalk.

The interesting thing about that article was the picture of the patients on boardwalk looking out onto ocean, now you can't even see beach from boardwalk. It's dumbfounding how they closed off what the shore is all about.

This arena was sold in a public auction in 2004 to Glenn Straub - cheers?

Well it is crazy. It actually may work, business wise, cause as you point out the population is aging. But that doesn't mean it's not crazy.

This guys a nut...though I must admit I'm anxious to see what he has in store for us next. If it was my 90 million I would be trying to hire some good people and you know...OPEN THE FREAKIN CASINO & HOTEL. But clearly I don't have the vision that Mr. Straub has.

Some would say Scientology is crazy, including me, that doesn't make it unprofitable to their prophets. It's a crazy mixed up world out there, stranger things have happened. See you at the needle exchange!

Well that's what I was getting at. Glen has obviously turned crazy into a money maker. Like I said I'm enjoying the crazy train. Just wish he'd pay a little more attention to the casino. He definitely has ADD.

Now that's entertainment!!

Last night in front of Ripleys believe it or not they had s guy under water in a 55 gallon drum for two minute. It was the lamest thing I think I've ever seen on the Boardwalk. One bum clapped. Very sad.

In today's day and age it is so politically incorrect to put on view those who were paraded in side/freak shows, though it does fascinate me. I learned today many of the performers had no other way to make a living and some even were famous and accepted in social circles due to their oddity.

I went on the Ripley's site to day to see exactly what they have displayed. A "real" shrunken head, a roulette table made from 14,000 jelly beans.....not too amazing, things I do not care if I Believe it or Not....

Does anyone remember Celeste from many years ago? She couldn't use her arms or legs. Either they were deformed or she didn't have any due to a birth defect. She was on the Boardwalk on at stretcher every day where she played the keyboards with her tongue. She was always making the news. If she were there today she would make a small fortune.

I remember her clearly from my first AC visits in the early 80's. I also remember reading in the late 80's she was busted for weed. She also has a Wiki Page
