Casinos in British Columbia: Do you guys have favorite between
- Hard Rock
- River rock
- Edgewater
We play craps, 5$ tables preferred, the ladies like the slots.
- no smoking ( i think most are in Canada but I don't know about tribal)
- I have business in the Delta area, so south of Vancouver casinos is better. If I missed a good one you want to recommend feel free.
- Probably Friday and Saturday in the fall
- Not looking for lodging
Thanks

River Rock will be the closest to you for Delta and has a very nice hotel. The casino is probably the nicest in Vancouver although Grand Villa (which you didn't mention) and the Hard Rock are also fine. The Hard Rock doesn't have a hotel attached or even all that close. The Grand Villa has an attached hotel but a small step below the River Rock. The Edgewater is a step down and has more of a downtown Vegas feel. The Edgewater is in the process of building a new hotel/casino attached to BC Place stadium but it is probably at least a year away from opening. In the mean time little maintenance is being done on their existing premise. There is no hotel attached to the Edgewater but a 15 minute walk will take you to dozens of downtown hotels.
The River Rock has gone to C$10 (US$7.50) craps on Friday and Saturday nights the rest of the time it is $5. The others were all still at $5 24/7 when I was there in the Spring. No tribal casinos in the Vancouver area and no smoking indoors in any BC public spaces.
If you have any other questions ask away.

Thanks, that's great info. I found a nice place close to the Hard Rock, since it might offer 5$ table I think I'll start there. We are still pretty close to the River Rock so I think I'll try a little visit there too,
Thx for the answer , I appreciate it.

Depending on where in Delta you need to get to the Hard Rock should be a reasonable drive. Luckily you should be going against the traffic as it can get pretty packed during the morning and evening on the highways. Bridge is also a toll bridge so that will cost a little.

I was just told my business is on Annacis Island, I think Hard Rock is pretty close to that.

Actually there is one more casino we haven't talked about yet that also has $5 craps. The Starlight Casino is only minutes from Annacis Island. I think it's craps table doesn't open until mid to late afternoon and the other casinos open craps at noon.
Travel time from Annacis Island to any of the River Rock, Hard Rock or Grand Villa would all be pretty close.

Does anyone have more recent information about the casinos in that area? I'm going there again
- Craps tables minimums
- any other casino suggestion besides those?
On my last trip I went to the River Rock and was very pleased.
- table were 10$ on Friday and Sat but usually lower. ( I was the only one playing at 1am Sunday, I was trying to have them lower to 5$ claiming it was now Sunday, no dice) Crew was super nice and friendly, competent. I was shooting r1 and the stickman was leaning so much in it was hard to shoot though. I asked him a few times but he get creeping back up. Right now a 10$ is a 7$ table though.
- they had the sharpshooter bet
- don't remember the odds max, never got really up so never maxed them, it was at least 2x ;)
- my companions really like the slots, a lot of variety.
- non smoking , like all in Canada I think.
- buffet was adequate, to be honest we walked in when they were 30mins from closing
I really want to try the Hard Rock ( a bit smaller, no hotel) and I'll probably at least walk in the Edgewater to get a chip for my starting collection.
