More Reno

Date: 3/9/12 - 3/11/12

So I really didn't do a whole lot of gambling this trip...with my comp balance at around $500, I just pretty much farted around playing nickle vP and $2 craps...Nothing really notable the entire time...
I went to the "57th Anniversary" Party on Saturday night..I'm pretty sure I had a 1:5 chance to win something (300 entries, 30 entries drawn, between $500-$5000 prizes; a buddy and I had a ticket each and did a 50/50 if we won...neither of us got called unfortunately)
JANugget is absolutely dying...friday AND saturday night it was STONE COLD DEAD...hell, at 1am each night, there was probably 10 people in the entire casino! Funny as it was, it actually was MORE crowded on SUNDAY (I think this was due to buses coming in)
Went around on sunday and collected up $80 worth of free play and came home...argh, we left at 8pm (later than we wanted to, but the damn "spring forward" fucked us all up)
Actually was snowing on the drive home...amazing with how warm it's been...
I've pretty much decided I'm going to quit gambling...I know I have a HUGE +EV with the cashback I'm getting...but it's just got so BORING, because it's SO DEAD at JANugget (and all the other Reno casinos don't give CRAP out for cashback/comps)
I know I got $800 coming to me in April & May ($1600 total) so I'll probably just suck it out and by the end of May, having put in no more action, they will have cut me off and that'll end my 5 year gambling binge, LOL.

Reno Ramblings

Date: 3/2/12 - 3/4/12

So this weekend wasn't much different than any other...
Got to JANugget earleir than usual (took off work a little early to miss the Sacramento traffic)
Put my stuff in my usual 3-room suite and head down to the casino floor...no different than usual, it's dead. I go over and activate my free $$
Walk over to a 8/5 BP machine..count it down $200 coin-in, cash out $195, works for me...
Take my promo chips to the crap table..$400 doey/dont split...8 is the point...8 WINNER...no matter to me, $200 in my pocket either way, thank you Johnny.
Go over and plop down on a 8/5 Aces&Faces and start playing...25c...hit a few good hands, OK, stepping it up to 10 coin...wasn't even paying attention (people watching mostly) BAM, AAAA8, SWEET! $200!...
By this time it's 1AM and graveyard crew is coming in...I decide to go over and play dice (Grave casino manager seems to be the most player friendly)
I meet a couple my age from my area and we play dice until 4am (watched a guy hit a couple 3-Black-Action hard ways and absolutely not even give so much as a THANK YOU to the shooter!) I cashed out with +$100...so that's totally up $700 on the casino.
Saturday do the morning/brunch buffet as usual...at 1pm, LOL. I know that I have RSVP for the Steakhouse at 5pm, so I can't really do anything but piddle around from 2-5...so I decide to go back over to the Aces&Faces...this time I just START OUT at 10-coin...was doing kinda crappy until I hit a quad, then another (quad queens this time for $100), then stangely, I got a 3-7 straight flush of clubs..OK, 500 quarters...played for quite a while, until getting close to my original $100...this time I hit a 2-6 straight flush of clubs! WTF?! Another 500 quarters...ok..this time I'm going to just play it to $200 even and be up another $100 and go clean up for the Steakhouse...
Go eat at the Steakhouse, good as usual...
After the steakhouse I decide to play dice...this is where is usually ends...
I dump $500 rather quickly...ABSOLUTE FUCKING BLOODBATH (No matter how I went, Do or Don't, the dealers didn't want to call the right numbers)
Met up with an old friend (I haven't talked to him in a while...long story short, he loaned me $1000 once and I didn't pay him back as quickly as he would have liked...) We used to roll dice together and make fucking killings because we are both decent shooters...we finally settled in like old times and ground out some wins...
Then it happened....I actually didn't get the balls to parlay that C&E bet, but I STARTED at $30 ($20 C / $10 E) and before I even knew it the dealer had parlayed it to $100 C / $50 E...dice land...I see an ACE...the other is hiding, no one is speaking...I figure it was a fucking SIX (7-out)...the other dealer picks up his working stacks...ACES THE CALL...HOLY FUCK! $800 and DOOOOWWWN!!
This put my back in the winning game (my buddy said "Damn man, I can't believe you just hit that!"...trust me, neither can I)
So we played from about 7pm until about 4am sunday morning...ended up back at +$500 on the casino money.
Sunday did the brunch buffet (lol at 1pm again)...back to Aces&Faces (5 quarters this time) did OK...quad 8's, 4's, QUEENS!, 9's, ACES!!! Played it back down to my original $100 and cashed out...
Couldn't resist trying the crap table (it actually had people playing!)...once more, absolute bloodbath (and they WONDER why they're hurting...they can't call a damn number one!) dropped the $500 casino money back to them (actually probably played bigger than I should have $5 pass with 3/4/5 and usually a $30 buy5 and $18 6&8)
Funny thing...JANugget is absoutely LOSING money hurting...and the sentiment of someone that came up to play craps hits it DEAD on the head of why...he bought in with $100 and just played $5 with $10 odds...absolutely dropped $80 within 10 minutes (PSO OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER; at least 9 in a row) and he said "Fuck all I wanted to do was gamble a little and have a little fun." All the dealers could do was look down at the felt...and they WONDER why their craps table is never played (literally they have a 3-man crew at ALL times and all they do is stand there for their entire shift EVERY-DAY!)
LoL, I don't really give a shit because I know how their crap table is (the worst bet {the World} is actually the best bet, cuz all they call is Horn/7!)...I just play it for cover play because if I JUST played 99%+ vP I'd get my offers dropped (Actually happened once, and someone in marketing actually told me "It's because all you play is 99%+ vP"
So the final score was I played all weekend on the casino's money and boosted my comp up by $200 (actually more if you include the three buffets and steakhouse).
I'll blog about next weekend...but I don't think it'll be much because I probably won't play next weekend (no free $$, just a big drawing where my EV is $150)

Reno Gambling Blog 2

Well, back at JANugget the weekend of 2/24-2/27..
Friday night we got there and stopped off at Siena to use up even more of the free comp points they gave us for "Instant Upgrade" BS...
Got into JANugget, dropped off the bags and hit the casino floor about 10pm..
Started off by picking up my freeplay ($200 slots, $400 promochips)...sucked out the $200 on 25c 8/5 BP, then walked over to the crap table, bet Doey-Dont $200 a piece and sucked out of promochip money as $200 cash.
Done a craps binge (haven't done that in a LOOONG time) from 12am-8am friday into saturday morning...Saw some of the wildest shit I've EVAR seen! First a guy steps up and rolls N-I-N-E POINTS!!!! Of course I had gotten pretty beat up, up until that point so I didn't bet enough to really MAKE money, only get back to about even...then a couple hours later, a guy I know rolled ACES, FOUR...TIMES...IN...A...ROW!!! (I started off with a Horn-High-3 for $5, but quickly went to a $10 High-Aces, then a $20 High-Aces, but pussed out and went to a $25 High-Aces for the 4th hit) Ended up the night EVEN (I know right???)
So I went to the buffet Saturday morning at 8:30 (Actually would have went earlier, but they didn't open until then! I could barely even stay away to eat (but I was dying of hunger) LoL, I straight up CRASHED afterwards...I had emailed my host in the middle of the night, to make RSVP for me to get the steakhouse (I had a $50 dining comp that was going to expire monday morning and the Steakhouse isn't open sundays...) for 5pm, so I set me clock for 4:30 and crashed out...
Woke up at 4:30pm on Saturday, got cleaned up and went down and had the Steakhouse (filet mignon FTW!)
Afterwards I went and hopped on the crap table to see what I could do...pretty much unremarkable until about 9pm, when they had their big $10k giveaway drawing...first person wasn't there (they give them 2 minutes and then they call another name), Second name..BOOM, buddy of mine...none of us could believe it (his brother was actually on the crap table with us and he's like "NICE!", of course, they're black chip players so $10k really isn't THAAAT much to them)
So finally he comes over to the crap table to start playing..I told him HELLZ YEAH because he's GOT to be lucky! Again though, unremarkable results, ended playing at about 2am with zero dollars. (Well, it WAS all free play AND I had earned like $100 in comps on it)
Funny story though...I didn't go to BED at 2am, haha...
(To preface the next part, I'm 30, Lisa is 23, and MILF is 41)
Earlier in the night I saw a girl who I knew (I say "know" loosely because I met her playing craps a few weeks ago, and have seen her there playing craps a couple times afterwards) Well anyway, she brings her Ex-Mother-In-Law with her this weekend...well, when she introduces me, the MILF starts givin me the pretty eye and rubbing up against me and shit (I would have guessed she was on E!, LOL) So she saw my buddy who's playing a machine close to the crap table (waiting for his turn to shoot because he doesn't like to stand too much if there's no reason to) and so the MILF and her go over to him to say hi, and I'm obviously checking out the MILF (I was at the crap table) and I caught her checking me out too, HAHA. So then Lisa and the MILF come back over to tell me they're going to go play slots until the table goes down to $2 (it was at $5) and the MILF again gets next to me and (don't ask me why) puts her arm around me and starts rubbing my chest (Like I said, I woulda figured the bitch was on E!) haha...so they go off to play slots...later that night when I go broke, I was going to just go tell her it was nice seeing her again, but apparently she had won a $100 hot-seat-giveway (in free slot play) so I told her I'd suck it out for her if she'd let me do it. So I got to play for about another hour or so at vP with Lisa (unfortunately MILF had found a man, doh!)...I got her the $100 as promised, and she wanted to go shoot craps for a little while, LOL. So back to the crap table I went with her...we played for about another hour and didn't really go up or down...finally we were both basically passing out at the table, so we called it a night...I'll leave it at that, hahaha.
So sunday I get up at noon, and per usual head to the buffet...after buffet I just kinda walked around people watching...finally decided I'd play a little bit more (I basically had time to kill because my buddy had the same $50 dining credit offer that I had, so we had to use it up that day for a dinner at the Oyster Bar)
So I sat down at a Game King to originally just play 5c Caveman Keno...Actually didn't do bad, hit $20 a couple times to keep me going. Finally lost $20, so I figured I'd try $20 in vP...played 25c 8/5 BP....doing ok...BAM, Hold AA and draw the other two for a sweet $100 payout...Awesome, this will keep me going for a while....back to 5c Caveman Keno (no way could vP hit again after just hitting quad aces!) Well, dropped another $20 in caveman...back to vP...wow, there's that beautiful quad aces...ok, start playing, no joke, 10 hands later get a AcQc5c10cJc...not even really thinking anything (because they usually don't roll over) hold the 4-card...BAM! up pops the Kc for a SWEEEEET 4000 quarter royal!!! Take the obligatory picture, cash out, go cash my ticket in (which was for $1075) and go sit down on a penny slot (that one of my ex-gf's said would ALWAYS hit, lol) Well sure enough, first pull, hit the bonus round for $55..NICE! Cash out....
Played for a couple hours at craps...had a decent hand and made another $100....went and got the Oyster Bar and finally shoved out of Reno at 9pm, argh argh argh!
God it's been a while since I hit a beautifull $1000 royal (the last $1k royal was in June, then April, and February; of course I've hit a bunch of $200 royals playing 5c 5-play, but that $1000 just has a whole 'nother level of coolness)

I figure I'll start blogging now since everyone likes to read stories, and I'm literally gambling close to 20 hours a week (which would constitute it as a part-time job, lol).
I'll start this post with this past (2/17-2/20) weekends results...
Friday night I started out playing 25c 10/6 DDB and took a fucking bath... -$200
Switched over to play some dice..played a couple hours of $5 w 3/4/5 pass only, no good -$100
Woke up Saturday, had the breakfast buffet as usual (hey, for $6.50 you can't beat it!)
Back to the scene of the crime for the DDB...shit, fuck, damn...-$200!!
Said screw it, and played Caveman Keno (Lol, I know its terrible, but its a great time waster)...was playing 10 nickles a pop...hit 6/7 x4...ding ding ding +$540..hot shit I'm back to even!

Ok, so from this point forward, always assume I am at JANugget in Reno, if I deviate I will specify
So after hitting that, I took a dinner break and went downtown to Siena to plunder my freely given comp dollars on a decent hamburger.
Left there and got back to JAN about 9pm...it was quite crowded because they were having a Mardi Gras promotion (great idea, btw)
Played some dice again, this time I faired a little better and after a few hours I was dead even.
Same thing Sunday morning...hit up the breakfast buffet (I really only go for the crab/shrimp omelets and dr. pepper)
After breakfast I went over to GSR with intentions on sucking on 2x points while playing doey-don't on their Aruze Shoot-To-Win craps machine...damnit! I deviated from the plan and dropped $500 (would have been $1000, but I fucked up once and while WANTING to bet $5 on the hop hard 4 & 10, the stupid machine had me set on $25 chips, and it locked in a $25 hop hard 4 and $25 hop hard 10....FUCK ME IF THE FUCKING HARD 10 DIDNT HIT!!! I nearly shit my pants!)
Of course I played $200 of it back, like a dumbass.
Came back to JAN and played some live dice..caught a good shooter who rolled about 40 minutes to win back $200 of that $500 I lost to GSR..
Monday I got up and had breakfast in the coffee shop (buffet is only open on the weekends)
Piddled around the rest of the day trying to win back that additional $300 but only managed to drop yet another $200 on the same stupid DDB machine! (Although, I watched a friend play $2 DDB next to me and go through $1500 in the same amount of time I went through $200...
Waiting for Friday to start it up again...
