It’s not that easy to calculate. You cannot use Gauss-Markov theorem to approximate the EV (using basic video poker strategy) because the game is decidedly non-linear, e.g. you want to trigger the 12X.



My background: I have a patent on a Video Poker game and have licensed the game with IGT in the past. I have friends who have PhD’s in Math, Comp Science, Physics, etc and they all tell me Bonus Streak was or still is the hardest VP game to analyze.



In this game, you want to trigger X’s and get those X’s into 12X’s so strategy deviation is paramount.



I would not recommend using the advance 8-6 JoB strategy for this game since you give up too much of the game’s return.
